Taking what you lot have said to it's logical conclusion, in a group of 6 friends, 2 rent a property each. The rest of the group, 4, doss down in property 1 for 6 nights, fine by you lot. Then they move on to doss down in property 2 for 6 nights, fine by you lot. Then back to property 1 for 6 nights.
Can you guess where I'm going with this. It's no wonder decent landlords are being let down by clowns like you lot.
......and should you reply, please try not to sound like spiteful little children in the playground, at least make an attempt to appear grownup.0 -

What would you know about being a decent landlord with your creepy spying and unenforceable clauses in your tenancy agreement?0 -

Even if you could put clauses in the contracts to stop that behaviour the clause you have would fail
If as your first post suggests...I've told her I'm happy for the boyfriend to stay Friday\Saturday nights.0 -
Beth I do believe the Bishop of Bath and Wells is to retire very shortly. Why don't you put the names of the most perfect of landlords forward for consideration to his Holiness Pope Francis. Is the Church even aware such a pool of perfection exists within Martin Lewes's forum?
Beth, every forum has a clique which ultimately ruins that forum, let the children have their fun. Merry Xmas and a happy New Year.0 -

The fact is that you have let a property to a tenant for them to live in. Within very wide limits, how they live their lives is of no concern to the landlord, as long as the property is left in a decent condition when said tenant vacates. In the scenario you paint, it would not be the business of any landlord to police this, or even to know who is staying as guests. The tenant is entitled to 'quiet enjoyment' of their home. Yes, it is their home, even if someone else owns the property.
'Decent landlords' do not try to run their tenants lives. It's not difficult!
'Wander' - to walk or move in a leisurely manner.
'Wonder' - to feel curious.0 -

I mean, yes, that could be a scenario. But that could happen in any tenants house. It would seem to me to be an awfully elaborate plan and irritating way to live. And that's probably why it doesn't really happen.0 -
