Hi all, I've not had chance to check-in much, but very happy with my progress. I'm currently at 650.39 and going strong - I will most likely finish next week. This is my first time doing any challenges and I'm proud of what I've achieved. If I don't get chance to come here again before the end of the year - well done to all involved!!366 Day Penny Challenge 2020 #15 - £671.61/£671.61

What a good idea Narola1976, i’m tempted to try that myself!
CazzieLT, i’ve also put my first months away and just about to do the February one later today, using money I had earmarked for Christmas, but as we are staying home and not visiting family on the ‘pressie run’, then it can go to this challenge instead 😀£2 coin savings club 2025 #1 £166 (2024 £692; 2023 £754; 2022 £472; 2021 £256; 2020 £358; 2019 £512; 2018 £404; 2017 640)Saving for Xmas 202 £1 a day #4 £365 / £365 3-6 month emergency fund challenge #48 £10,030 Save a penny a day 2024 #32 £ . / £667.95 £1000 emergency fund challenge #232 £1,007/ £1,000 (achieved Nov 2020)2 -
Evening all, no. 26 checking in. I would say I have approx. £500 in the sealed pot at this moment from this challenge. Hanging on in there. At the point where I need to put away £3.13. won't finish this challenge by Christmas, been a tough year finance wise. Looking to finish by the end of March 2021 and plan all being well to have our bedroom decorated with the proceeds later next year when the challenge is completed.2

Hi, I'm sorry to say I've been totally rubbish on this challenge I was going well until Lockdown in March (£36) and then I couldn't even find an extra penny. But I love this challenge and I've been doing the debt free by Christmas challenges throughout. I've totalled my debts up today and I have £6k to be totally debt free. Doing my first challenge in 2018 with debts of £18,200, at the end of 2019 my debts were £12,329. I've cleared some of it by moving it around as I'm self-employed and this year has been a nightmare but I'm sort of pleased with myself. This long bumbling post is me saying sorry for not completing the challenge and well done to everyone who has, but also that without things like this I would possibly be 20k in debt and distraught today. The five hundred pounds really do make a big difference if you use them wisely. I've bought a pot / tin for next year because I need to do it physically so I don't spend it. Can we keep the same numbers? Is there a link to 2021 and the spreadsheet. I'm going to start with the biggest first and fingers crossed this pot will buy me and my family Christmas next year without using a credit car.DF by 2023 No 17 £1,644 /£6000 Total debt £18,000 at the start of DFW Journey. 201814TH JULY 2021 DEBT FREE now in control365 1p challenge No 493

Hello everyone,
I hope you are all making your way through this Christmas time and the end of this shocking year as smoothly as possible, and really well done to everyone who has managed to save anything. Blackberrycurved, it's so nice to read what a huge difference these challenges can make to people and I wish you all the best with continuing on your journey to become debt-free. I will certainly be carrying on with this challenge for my third consecutive year, once again going backwards which will be tough in the beginning but which I will appreciate later in the year! Do we have a 2021 thread?
I've made my 5p transfer today - only 10p to go! I'll be popping my total in Premium Bonds on 31st in the hope of making a few more pennies whilst I wait and see if taking a holiday is a realistic option for 2021! Who knows what we will be facing next year!? But I'm pleased that I will have another little chunk of money saved, and thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread and encouraged us all to keep going. I'm looking forward to continuing to save in 2021 and wish you all the best for a healthy, happy and money-saving year!xxx

#21 Saver...what a year it has been. Managed to reach my target and will use it to pay for our fence that blew down in last week's storm. Hopefully next year I will use it for something nicer. Happy 2021 everybody xx1

If anyone wants a shiny new spreadsheet there’s a link to it on the main site. Print it out and cross it off. I’ve set up an annoying notification on my phone. Shiny new tin - 2 amounts in it, let’s do this everyone. If you bank loads you bank loads but the beauty of this is that everyone can finish the year with nearly 700 quid by doing a little every day.
