Hello savers!
It's been a while since I checked in but I'm still potting away (virtually this year) and I currently have £648.15 and am ready to pot another £0.68 tonight (certainly enjoying the lower amounts after slogging through the big'uns!) What a year it's been so well done to anyone who has managed to save any amount in these tough times. I have managed to tuck away enough pennies to finish the challenge and hope to spend the lovely total on a holiday next year if I am fortunate enough to get the chance.
I hope you all stay well and can keep saving. Look after those pennies and hopefully the pounds will look after themselves!

Hi all
#35 checking in. As the majority of people I moved to transferring money into my savings account rather than putting money in a pot since March. I decided to total up a line of the checklist every Friday and transferring the total into my savings. I have 4 Fridays left to go before completing the spreadsheetwill definitely be doing this again next year.

Hi all, I am on target balance of £559.45 x2
For 2021 I am doing 2.5 challenges, one starting at £4.95 and the other at £112.16. Then I am doing a third but half way, starting at £4.95 working up to June, and back downwards back to £4.95 by December. A bit odd but I can’t afford 3 challenges at the same time.Starting Total in September 2019 = £38287.77
Current Total = £25534.10

#3 reporting in with £53.61 added today, taking my total to £671.61. Am absolutely over the moon that I’ve finished this for the year. I finished early due to making a payment twice by mistake earlier in the year. It was a struggle when the amounts started getting so high but it feels like a real achievement to have reached my target. It’s made a real difference to the account I’ve been saving it into and will be used towards house buying fees at some point in the next few years.
Good luck to all those who will finish between now and the end of the year.

I have also completed this challenge 😀. Working in reverse, I only had £4.65 to put in my tin for December but during the year i’ve been saving my 2p and 1p coins in a separate pot which has covered my final contribution and take me over the finish line.
Already have my shiny new pot for next year and have printed off my wall chart showing me what I have to squirrel away£2 coin savings club 2025 #1 £166 (2024 £692; 2023 £754; 2022 £472; 2021 £256; 2020 £358; 2019 £512; 2018 £404; 2017 640)Saving for Xmas 202 £1 a day #4 £365 / £365 3-6 month emergency fund challenge #48 £10,030 Save a penny a day 2024 #32 £ . / £667.95 £1000 emergency fund challenge #232 £1,007/ £1,000 (achieved Nov 2020)2 -

Hello everyone!
So close to completing our challenge! Only £7.41 to go for me, which is already safely tucked away and I am just gently drip feeding into my virtual pot the right number of pennies at a time! I've also managed to get together £108.50 to start the challenge next year and do all of the biggest amounts in January without having to find that amount of money straight after Christmas.
I'm so hoping we can have something resembling a holiday next year. I have this year's money and the money from 2019's challenge too so would love to be able to go on a lovely break with my family - fingers crossed this new year brings better and healthier and happier times for all of us.
Keep up the good saving. Looking forward to continuing our saving journeys together through Christmas and beyond.

Payday today! I am happy to report I have completed my 2 x 1p challenges for this year. It was incredibly hard to do towards the end which is why for 2021 I am starting one at the January amount and the other at the December amount (I do a monthly transfer rather than daily amounts) so they don’t feel as hard. Well done to everyone who has managed to save any amount as its an achievement in itself.Starting Total in September 2019 = £38287.77
