Sorry guys - I know you get these stupid questions a lot but I only just realised that I have to hand the documents in physically and I am at work all day tomorrow.
As mentioned, I want to get this in before the end of the month - even just for the aesthetics - but I am a bit stuck.
Google points me to handing it in at a local court it seems.0 -
Or a relative handing an envelope with it all inside, in for you...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

and it would be handed in at my local court? Despite the order coming from the CCBC?0

I already gave that as an option - in a previous reply.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

One of the reasons for the delay in submitting the N244 is my wife had a few health issues over that time.
I should mention this in the witness statement? and how stressful the period has been?0 -
Yes you can, briefly, and stress that you acted as promptly as reasonably possible.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The process i recently followed for N244 submission is:
Called Northampton CCBC who emailed me the particulars!
Downloaded and filled out N244
Put together on separate sheets using templates from legal beagles and threads from this site, a Draft order, Witness Statement, Draft defence - this is 3 separate documents in Word format
Compiled evidence such as council tax bills, mortgage statement, utility bill, electoral register - if this wasnt already in electronic format i took a photo!
Called Northampton CCBC who put me through to payments - payment was taken using a debit card whilst on the phone!
Emailed this bundle of files to!ccbcfees@justice.gov.uk!stating the case number in the body of the email and 'Defence' as the subject!
Note - i did not have to print, sign and scan - the helpdesk confirmed that i can type my name in the signature box on the N244
Recieved confirmation email that the application had been recieved2 CCJ's coming off in July and September 2011:j1 Satisfied Default for a measly £81:mad:£200 Capital One, £1500 Barclays Overdraft, T-Mobile Contract:cool:0 -

Thanks for this.
Did you post anything also? Just thinking about their need for a wet signature.0 -

I have since sent a printed bundle to my local court but this was not part of the N244 application, i did this since i received transfer to local court.
For the actual application i was told i didnt need to physically sign it - i guess that would make the electronic submission pointless
I have also since sent an email to the claimants solicitors and the local court with electronic copies attached.
Coupon mad gave me the following text to use in the email
"If you are no longer dealing with the case at set aside stage please forward this email to your Clients and inform them that I require all photos/letters/evidence that their claim relied upon and the claim form. This is in their/your hands and easily accessible and is required by email this week, in the interests of open dealing and the overriding objective."
But this was all after id recieved notice of transfer and subsequently recieved a date for set aside hearing
From my understanding the steps i took after the N244 submission are not mandatory but will secure against any possibility of lost documents or argument from the claimant that i might not have been open. It also gives the claimant the opportunity to provide me the original claim documents - im unsure if they will actually do this
I also took the additional steps as i needed to submit an amendment WS as a result of new information from a SAR2 CCJ's coming off in July and September 2011:j1 Satisfied Default for a measly £81:mad:£200 Capital One, £1500 Barclays Overdraft, T-Mobile Contract:cool:0 -
Update, i recieved a call from Gladstones today saying that their client would agree to set aside as long as i pay a reduced sum of £190. I politely requested that they read my files as i do not owe the original debt and have requested that my costs are paid. Guess ill be seeing them this week in court2 CCJ's coming off in July and September 2011:j1 Satisfied Default for a measly £81:mad:£200 Capital One, £1500 Barclays Overdraft, T-Mobile Contract:cool:0
