Well done on the shopping from home and amazing that you no longer spend that amount of money on coffee/cake etc!2

Funny that you mentioned Attic24. As a change from my usual ripple blankets I've just started the Springfrost blanket. I've also been learning some new stitches/patterns, mostly by youtube tutorial.2

Thank you foxgloves, Lucielle and SavingHolmes - on reflection it was a good shopping from home win, however, I was standing in the rug department, purse was nearly open and I was trying hard to find something to spend my money on. Old habits trying to re-surface.
ooo @CRANKY40 - I scuttled over to Attic24 as fast as my search button could go. What a beautiful colour palette and lovely pattern. I hope you'll share a photo when you are ready.
a few spends to report - went to the local butchers for meat for the month. It's a small local business and it's good to source good quality produce. MrBC splashed out on a beef wellington which wasn't on the plan or in budget but we shall enjoy it nonetheless. Next door to the butchers is a cafe where we had a hearty breakfast - good value and run by a very nice lady.
we met DD2 and my granddaughter at the garden centre but timed it so we just had teas and coffees although the baby made a valiant attempt at consuming a muffin - probably 30% eaten by her, 20% nibbled by me and the rest on the floor, in her hair and ground into the high chair 😋
in saving, not spending news I've moved monthly interest into the accumulation of marginal gains pot which is going to be used as council tax savings pot. It's up to £1435 now. Still haven't had notification of the new bill but at least I've got a head start. Our holiday pot contains enough for travel and accommodation for our May week away but not quite enough for possible spends. We are self catering so some food spends will come from grocery budget. We don't tend to spend much so I think we will have time to get a reasonable spending kitty between now and May.6 -
All sounding very organised. I do like having pots and loath using any money out of them even if it’s what’s it’s there for.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Well done on keeping your budget frugal where warranted - but making sure you still have fun and every day pleasures along the way.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

@lucielle - I agree about using pots even though I know that's the whole point of them. Some of my pots are capped and some are rolling and it's the fluctuation of the rolling pots that I find harder to cope with, I'm using the interest from the holiday pot, the entertainment pot and the Christmas pot as my donation to the Salvation Army Christmas appeal so that's an incentive to save and spend wisely.
thank you @savingholmes - you are always so generous with your encouragement.
a summary of the week ....
spending - I spent some money and a soon to expire £5 voucher at The Body Shop. I bought shampoo and conditioner. Also each season I treat myself to a different shower gel and body lotion. I'm just finishing my winter spiced orange products and I've bought white musk for the spring. I've dipped in and out of white musk for many years and I'm pleased to re-visit it.
money generating - I did a bank switch which I hope will pay £200. All the emails etc appear to show that I've done it right so I'm hopeful that I'll get the money in due course.
money saving - we had visitors yesterday who live a distance away but were passing through near to us and had time to drop in for a cuppa. I made a lemon drizzle cake using ingredients I had in stock and which used up some olio lemons. Used my pretty tea cups and tea pot, flowery napkins and made the table look very nice with no additional money spent.
