  • Well done on the shopping from home and amazing that you no longer spend that amount of money on coffee/cake etc!

Funny that you mentioned Attic24. As a change from my usual ripple blankets I've just started the Springfrost blanket. I've also been learning some new stitches/patterns, mostly by youtube tutorial.

All sounding very organised. I do like having pots and loath using any money out of them even if it’s what’s it’s there for.

Well done on keeping your budget frugal where warranted - but making sure you still have fun and every day pleasures along the way.

@lucielle - I agree about using pots even though I know that's the whole point of them.  Some of my pots are capped and some are rolling and it's the fluctuation of the rolling pots that I find harder to cope with,  I'm using the interest from the holiday pot, the entertainment pot and the Christmas pot as my donation to the Salvation Army Christmas appeal so that's an incentive to save and spend wisely.

thank you @savingholmes - you are always so generous with your encouragement.

a summary of the week ....
spending - I spent some money and a soon to expire £5 voucher at The Body Shop.  I bought shampoo and conditioner.  Also each season I treat myself to a different shower gel and body lotion.  I'm just finishing my winter spiced orange products and I've bought white musk for the spring.  I've dipped in and out of white musk for many years and I'm pleased to re-visit it.

money generating - I did a bank switch which I hope will pay £200.  All the emails etc appear to show that I've done it right so I'm hopeful that I'll get the money in due course.

money saving - we had visitors yesterday who live a distance away but were passing through near to us and had time to drop in for a cuppa.  I made a lemon drizzle cake using ingredients I had in stock and which used up some olio lemons.  Used my pretty tea cups and tea pot, flowery napkins and made the table look very nice with no additional money spent.
