Thanks for the wine PIP. without going into too much detail or ranting too loudly they are attempting a massive rip-off of MrBC. They won't succeed but it will take time and €'s to sort this out.

Money well spent if it thwarts those thieving lying toe-rags. Don't forget that your stardust pot is also allowed to sprinkle stardust on you and Mr BC!

Hope it gets shutdown quickly. Hate how these things can be dragged out.

Just catching up on your diary BC. You are so organised on the MSE front but love that you are also able to harness it to get away so much and to sprinkle so much pixie dust. Your Black cat is also adorable.
Sorry to hear about the scuzuns - nothing worse than relatives behaving that way but at least you are wise to it. So nice to be in March, finally!

thanks @lucielle and @RebeccaPAgain - we will try to methodically navigate our way through the situation and when it's concluded there will be a clean break. Would be easier if we could speak the language and understand the system but hey ho 🥴
March ambitions
House and Garden
Add a couple of rolls of extra insulation in the far corner of the loft and sort out some lighting up there
Mini makeover of the hall and porch - some shopping from home and a couple of purchases - total budget £100. Clean the carpet too
Clean the patio
Replace the hob
Finally finalise a niggly bit of formal paperwork - fed up with it dragging on so time to give it a good kick
Health and Well-beingour leisure centre subscriptions is increasing which is a good prompt to make the most of the facilities and commit to going 3 times a week
book dentist and hygienist 🥴lose 1kg - doesn't sound much but it won't shift so a new focus is needed
Money matters
Bank account switch if there's a good deal available
Open j p Morgan account to get £100 bonus
EBay and vinted to help declutter and bring in some £'s
Stick to budgets 😇

Week 2 of March and budgets seem to be doing ok. We've been eating from the freezer so the grocery budget is looking nice and healthy.
I've taken the plunge and entered the world of stoozing by doing a balance transfer for 24 months and I've put the funds to clear the balance in a savings account. I'm not sure if I'll hold my nerve for 24 months though.

@lucielle - my tactic is to try to drown out the scary voice which is saying "eek I've got a credit card balance" and be rational that the stooze will earn me some money and if I really can't hack it I can just pay it off.
Over half way through March so I've done a quick check of budgets. Grocery pot looks good, eating out & fun is looking better than anticipated as we were treated to a meal out on Saturday that we were expecting to pay for so that was a lovely bonus. There are a couple of birthdays this month so the presents pot is doing what it needs to do. Clothes/shoes hasn't been used this month and all of a sudden that means I'm starting to want to browse vinted "just in case".
All the bills are paid for this month. The new council tax bill has arrived and isn't too bad, leisure centre membership has gone up too.
