@Cherryfudge - this is the culprit who doesn't seem to be very remorseful MrBC created this sleeping station for him above the radiator but I'm assured that it's me that spoils the cat.

My main pension landed today (I still marvel that I get money every month for not going to work. Thank you to past me for not opting out of the pension scheme even when I was up to my eyes in debt).
I run my budget from 1st of the month so I move next month's money into a savings account attached to my current account.
So far in Feb I've made a bit of money from vinted, surveys, and a refund I chased up which have been added to my pixie dust pot. I used money from that pot to buy 2 granddaughters some pretty earrings which I wrapped up and posted to them for the start of half term. It wasn't an expensive gift but it was guilt free spending and the girls were really pleased with them.
My grocery pot is looking healthy and will be useful for buying stocks at our self catering cottage next week. We bring home what we don't use so it's a legitimate use of the money. I've given up wine for Lent but plan to have some nice soft drinks while we are away and maybe a fancy mocktail when we go out for dinner.
Holiday savings are legging behind holiday bookings but should catch up 🤦♀️
Regular savers are all topped up.

I think your pixie dust fund is a fantastic idea and it sounds like the lucky recipients are grateful for it. Hopefully the relatives who used to sponge off you don’t get wind of it 😬

A very handsome cat! I have a special soft spot for blacks. Some of the cleverest cats I've known have been black. One of Mum's used to position himself in front of her and do a silent miaow. How did he work out she was deaf?

I love our black cat but by heck I don't half notice when she needs a good brush! Still we can always tell where she's been sleeping 😂

Oh @Sun_Addict - funny you should mention those sponging relatives. We are embroiled in a situation with them that is far worse than their previous shenanigans. It's going to get worse before it's resolved.
@Cherryfudge - what a clever cat that was. @LzzyIsGod - yes a dusting of black fur is hard to ignore.

The scuzuns have managed to get worse?! Bejesus.

We are away for a few days and enjoying some nice walks on the beach which seems to help with clarity of thinking.
Looking back over February -
Health and wellbeing - we are getting more systematic with taking our concoction of vitamins and supplements. I think I feel better for taking them but who knows if they really make a difference. We've also made a shift away from our traditional UPF snacks and are choosing fruit, nuts and dark chocolate. Drinking less wine and more water. I'll score us 7/10
Focus on family and friends - I've really enjoyed my pixie dust pot and have used £co, prolific and vinted money to top it up. I've currently got £168 in there. Enjoyed meeting up with 2 sets of grandchildren during half term. We have planned a mini break with some friends in May which will be a good way to spend some time with them. I used the non council tax money to help one of the kids start a LISA while they are still eligible. They were very pleased. 8.5/10
Money - an underspend of £42 on groceries which will go to holidays. £59 spent from the clothes & shoes pot and £100 spent from house & garden (MrBC bought stuff to set up a doorbell camera). The eating out & fun pot will be emptied out when we treat ourselves to a pub Sunday lunch tomorrow. 7/10 (only because I didn't diligently track spends to the right place and relied on it even-ing out over the categories)
I will set some March intentions tomorrow.0
