  • The file itself isn't a major problem, it's getting it to a cd that is the problem hmmm

The only ways I can see this getting sorted are

    1. Finding the disks and copying the files across
    2. Finding a way of copying the file from the laptop you are on
    3. Creating a network in safe mode.

Option 1 would be by far the easiest,

What model laptop have you got and what model laptop have you borrowed

I am trying to work out what our options are!!

  • a pen drive less that 1Mb? Not 1Gb!
  • Hi, sorry to interject but I think in the situation you are in, without the recovery disks makes it very difficult to fix unless you have a boot cd of sorts or another pc where you could put the lappy drive in and sort it with the missing files.
The only other way I can see is to get ultimate boot cd for windows. The thing is, you will need a pc with a cd writer. but if you can get a friend to download overnight and pick it up 2morrow or something. He will need to run the prog downloaded on his pc to make the cd, don't just burn what he downloaded straight to a cd

  • We only need to fit 690Kb on to it!
