This may sound like a silly question but does this impact massively on battery life? I don't have my earbuds up at full whack. Looking at the slider on my iPhone now the setting is perhaps 33%. It's certainly between 25-50%.
I'd definitely agree that the battery will run down quicker the louder is volume on any wireless earphones, earburds or other listening device. More volume requires more power, in turn placing a greater demand on the battery.
  • I get nearly 5hrs from my jabra 65t and I saw a review on stuff.tv for some Cambridge audio melomania 1's that they said were very small and had a quotes battery life of 9hrs at 70% volume, with a total of 36hrs using the charging case, so long battery and small size are not mutually exclusive

I think that airpods are really good wireless earbuds, nearly best of the best
And so they should be for what they cost.

Nearly the best in terms of what? Having a big stick halfway down your face?
I haven't even looked to them specs-wise simply because of their looks. They are awful. No offence to anyone who owns and uses a pair but these big sticks hanging down your face? No thank you, not for me. Besides, they're an Apple product so they probably cost an obscene amount. I'll pay for the phone but that's about it and even at that I will not be buying another iPhone. Sorry but purely on looks alone i wont be buying a set of air pods.

IMO the main design feature is to make sure everyone is aware you spent a fortune on Apple.

the OP is spot on if they don't like the look of something then they should not get it. However your post is just the usual tiresome remark because you have some sort of bitterness or resentful attiude against anyone who would dare buy something that you do not like.
