Freeview box to replace Sky

Hold your horses - I don't think we can just assume this unless I've missed something. I thought that when you get Sky Q installed, you get a 'Q' LNB, which is not compatible with Sky HD+ boxes (and therefore, Freesat ones). As I understand it, you only get a 'hybrid' LNB (with Sky Q AND Sky HD/Freesat outputs) if you specifically ask for it, because, for example, you have Freesat in the house.
I don't want Daisy to go and buy a Sky HD box and for it to be useless. Same applies to a Freesat box. Remember, for your Sky HD+ box, if you don't give them money every month, you can't record!
Is the correct answer. It's an idiotic assumption that Sky would fit a hybrid LNB just because they've never had Sky before. Even if you're upgrading from HD+ to Q they will not fit a hybrid LNB unless specifically asked for.0 -

Unfortunately just because they have a hybrid quad LNB and can get Sky Q and Sky HD they assume everyone can get both, in a previous thread they kept insisting on telling people that they could get 'Freeview' with a Sky Q LNB.

Unfortunately that poster doesn't appear to have much luck, or indeed knowledge, with and about technology, or people, or contracts or ...well very much by the looks of their many posts.

His history is full of nonsense posts and threads which is why he's just joined my ignore list.0
