I've not been allocated a number yet though I've posted a request to AdventureWanted on page 7.

Jan: £1.00 (credited on the last day of January to my target bill account as a reminder to myself to make overpayments. This was done prior to joining this challenge).
Feb: £7.27 credited to the target account.

  • 500E sent to my saver so currently at
    25% 1.5k / 6k.

I have done 16 hours of overtime this past month (around 150 after tax I think), and am due to be paid on Friday. I am hoping that I can then put in my 250 monthly amount, plus anything left over from this month (leaving me a 200E buffer in my account) plus the overtime money.

Next month I already have 21 hours of overtime booked in, and not an expensive month planned ahead.

Not sure how else I will be able to make or save extra money to add to this, but excited to have overtime to throw a bit more at it.

    I've paid off another 2% - number 25. So I'm at 4% now.

Hopefully I'll get a higher percentage next month as I'll be due a lot of Quidco cashback shortly!

I didn’t realise we had a new thread- can I join this years challenge please?
    1% is £142

I started playing off my debt in October when the balance hit £14202 and this month I gave myself a challenge to clear my last debt- a loan- before July. The balance was £6500 01/02 and it’s now £4077 23/02. I can’t believe it! Ive taken 14 months off the term of my loan!! I’ve been listening to a lot of Dave Ramsay and it’s really helped me with keeping focus and hitting it hard. I streamlined my budget, cut out all unnecessary spending and earned as much as I could.

    Currently at 71% paid  B)

    £20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**
  • Well done Nat2luv, you've paid off a massive amount!!

I managed to book in overtime for this week, two hours today and a separate 6 hour day on Thursday. I've calulated that after taxes etc, pension and travel for the extra day I should net E64.80, which is 1.07%. This means that this next months overtime should equal about 4% if I get all the hours I've asked for, which is fantastic :) the % make it feel like I'd be getting somewhere!!

  • I'm currently at 23%, I doubt I'll get any further this month. Trying to get 30% by the end of March
    Nov 19 CC was: £1334.95 Now: £0!! 1% challenge - 100% Savings:£300.83February take lunch to work: 19/18

  • Hello - I have had a bit of good news bad news... I was awarded a PPI payout which I wasn't expecting so have used it to finish paying off my first credit card so that 100% is done. Bad news is that I got a large vet bill so couldn't use all of it, and I also have another cc with a larger balance on it. So my next target is to pay the cc with the larger balance on it - my 1% is now £26.25
  • Payday yesterday :)
E250 moved into my saver as per my monthly plan.
E221.4 paid in overtime before tax, so moved this amount over too.

    1971.40 / 6K = 32%
I don't know how to make that red on this new forum for the OP to see :/

... tempted to pay in the extra E8 to top it up to 33%....
Also realised that I needed to budget for car insurance, tax etc here so I'm going to need to start a second saving pot which will mean that this saving will drop down. I keep picking up over time though, 29 hours booked this month and keep saying yes to more.
