  • Hi all,
will try and update the figures tomorrow.

Since having baby number 4 a few months ago I just don't have time to come on the forum as much anymore, so I won't be starting a 2021 1% challenge. I'm really hoping that someone on this thread will set one up and take on the running of it. It's easy to set up a new thread and I usually copy and paste the first few posts from this thread to the new one so people understand how the 1% challenge works.

Congratulations on having a baby and thanks for running this thread it has kept me motivated x
  • I would love to join next year but everything is so up in the air! I am putting over payments into savings at the moment rather than paying off my 0% cards.
  • #46 now at 15%, just last dd to come out on the 25th Dec.  Merry Christmas everyone x
  • #46 dd came out so finishing the year at 16%, hoping to clear the remainder next year.  Hope you all have a lovely Christmas 🎄 x
  • Thank you so much for running this thread @AdventureWanted I have found it a great way to keep motivated, and I'm blown away by how much I have surpassed my original goal by. Hopefully someone will pick up the baton for 2021.
My final payments for the year have gone out. I would in the past have counted them in next months totals, as I'm paying with next months money, but it got a bit complicated so I'm adding the totals to here and starting afresh on Jan 1st. Total paid 44%

    True LBM, December 2019 = £32934. Current Debt = £12762. 1% Challenge = 61.1%. #51 3-6 Month EF Challenge = £1200/£6000

  • Is anyone up for the thread? Congratulations @AdventureWanted
    January 2025 - Debt £20,006
  • I’m happy to keep going from last year but have joined the pay off all debts in 2021 challenge x

I know I'm very childlike but I find focusing on one debt more motivational than looking at the total figure.
I'd be up for this & have set my own intermediate challenge with the 1st goal being £520 to clear off a Barclaycard debt
  • I don't know if anyone is doing this still but I'm up to 55% thanks to selling stuff on ebay
