Yes thanks, have read that and the various other links.
Still not had this pop up post people talk about though.
Can see what people mean about being led through the whole process on that form, I didn't do it, and as my email is right I will do nothing. I hope that means I will be migrated.
If not, will just make another account :-)Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -
The message pops up when you open the forum, at the bottom of the screen.
I haven't changed my password, just clicked on 'save'. The box does have the word 'optional' in brackets next to 'new password' so I didn't bother doing anything with it.0 -

I have opened the forum in a multitude of ways and nothing pops up... maybe it's because I still run it on the old green one and have a pop up blocker.....Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -
Surely you can just change it to what it already is. I have done that on a couple of sites that have no financial effect. Basically they just want you to confirm that you are you. You are going to get this from more and more sites in the near future.0

I'm on the old green one and have a pop up blocker though I've white-listed the site.
You could try going to your profile page directly and just 'save' it if the option is there.0 -
I'm IT literate as I work in IT (Analyst Programmer)....however, the whole process was a ball ache (and as I'm female I had to grow a pair for them to ache)
1. Had to go and check email - would have been ok but I'm decommissioning that address soon so changed it.
2. Except I had to enter a password to do so and the password that I'm 99% sure is the password for this site did not work - so I had to reset it.
3. So then I had to wait for a link, which generated me a god awful password instead of just taking me to a landing page to change it.
4. So I had to log in using the godawful password, change it to the one I wanted and then change my email address
5. But then I couldn't do anything until I got another link to confirm an account that I've had for years!
Changing my banks password was easier!0 -

Im at a loss as to why its such a hassle to copy and paste a password from an email into a password box.
many sites use the same method.0 -

Did that and literally just clicked save after not changing anything and got this:

I opened the box, entered my password and attempted to alter the email address shown (that I haven't used for about 15 years) to my current correct one, only to be toldThe email address you entered is already in use. If you have forgotten your password, please click here.
No I haven't forgotten my password, that bit was quite straightforward. Seems like I may be saying goodbye to my account as I have no idea what I'm supposed to do now.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
