Last night I did one wash load but had to use td to dry. Dinner was fried eggs, bacon & baked beans for DSis with the addition of fried lo mixed mash & plum tomatoes for me.
The winter bedding is on but not the duvet - warm with just the duvet cover 🙂MrG returned the Pyrex bowl which had the apple crumble - apparently it was delicious with lashings of custard 🥳 I am very happy that I hadn’t poisoned the neighbours 😂
I actually set the alarm clock last night 😉 & was up at 9:00 a.m. - early for me 😉Wednesday has been warm & sunny so far but the occasional breeze is a bit chilly - however I will take it 🥳 The summer bedding has been washed & is on the whirligig to dry. The wm is on a “clean drum” cycle with a C*lg*n tablet. Next task is to make some green tomato chutney - all the ingredients are out. I need a muslin bag for the spices so cut a small section from a tea towel & hand sewed a small bag 😉 I now have no excuse not to retire to the kitchen 😂

Success, the chutney is made & in 4 sterilised & labelled jars. Now needs to mature for 6 weeks. The bedding was mostly dry when it started to rain, so is being finished off in the td ☹️ DH phoned again, the rain that started at 9:00 a.m. has stopped but not before soaking him ☹️ He managed to get some meat & a cauliflower from a farm shop. Now on the homeward leg & expecting to arrive home about 9:00 p.m. Dinner will be burgers & oven chips.

Welcome aboard Ms_Green 👋 Nice to see a new face 🙂 Frequent house moves do tend to concentrate the mind 😉 It sounds like you are now ready to tackle your books & paperwork. Looking forward to hearing about your successful transition to ONE bookcase & ONE shelf of paperwork 🙂 Good luck 😉
Sounds brilliant EnergyShifter 🥳 Upcycling & renovating is NOT cluttering. You are bringing in/making beautiful items for your home. From my point of view you are decluttering ‘not’ beautiful items into beautiful items.
Now, now TC77 wagging finger - you have been decluttering at your dad’s place & unless you have some form of ‘beam me up Scottie’ device how can you declutter at home 🙄
Good luck with the dentist visit 🤞
Not really Wednesday2000 😉 Note the judicious use of the word “endeavour” 😆

Hi,
A couple of days of light decluttering have seen 35 minor casualties - mainly on their way to the CS:
1-5: Exercise clothes (too big)
6: broken phone charger cable
7: knackered school bag
8&9: kids pants/trousers
10: broken sandals
11: T-shirt
12 & 13: Body butter sets
14-16: Bedding
17-27: Clothes (too big)
28: Broken make up bag
29: Broken hair brush
30-31: pillow cases
32: Pile of boxes and packaging from my room (that's been sat there since Christmas - oops!)
33-35: Bags that had been sorted previously and were languishing in the garage - now out of the house!
Hopefully there will be a few more to add. I need to increase my target by 3 after taking delivery of some new mountain biking gear!

I've been sorting the boiler room and kitchen - how these jobs spread when you start them. Now that our cat Pickles has gone to her new home in Liverpool, hubby cleaned the floor in the boiler room and moved a drawer set to the opposite side of the room where it's much less noticeable. I emptied said drawers the other day and in the course of putting things back, had to move stuff in other cupboards, so ended up trying to sort cupboards in 3 rooms. It's meant quite a few items for the charity shop anyway. I'm taking it steady and not oveerdoing it. I'm off swimming from 4-5 today anyway.
I find that I'm noticing other people more nowadays. Before the virus you could wander around largely unconscious of people around you - enough not to walk into people but that was about it. Now with masks and social distancing we have to be more conscious of others. I think i prefer it. I just wish face masks were transparent so others know that I smile at them.

Hi Ailz, I lurk on this thread and read along with you all and wanted to let you know you can get transparent masks now - there are loads on Axmazon, some totally and some just the mouth. Really helpful for lipreaders etc too. Well done on your 3 room shuffle - great stuff!8

I agree about wanting to see people smile, and the issue of lipreading. Not sure why news reporters who are socially distanced sometimes wear a mask as makes it very hard for people who rely on lipreading to understand the news (sub titles for the news are always odd!)Didn't count decluttering my dad's stuff - but will when I get rid of the few things in my car, but had my DIY man and counting, hook put on door, mesh put on airbricks and gaps to stop mice etc (can't wait to declutter them), Handle secured on door, and gate more secure to post 1686 - 1689rubbish out of DD2 room ( door handle was hers) 2 bundles of rubbish 1690 - 16911692-1694 random bits of building left overs found under kitchen units (builders years ago) binned1695 - alot of admin and chasing hospital appts (DD1)8
