Hi, just wondering if anybody has decluttered any of their past employment pension literature if you are now receiving it? Is it really necessary to keep everything still? Maybe just keep the final paperwork for when it was all processed?Thanks.7
-
Wise to keep the final processing paperwork. The the issues of major comouter hqcking these days it's not beyond the bounds of possibility Your pension providers Computers could be hacked and all yiur details lost. I,m a great believer in "belt and braces" and if this happened it could save you endless hassle trying to,prove your identity and entitlement.8

1. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS” - MINIMUM 30 MINUTE BURSTS OF ACTIVITY AT LEAST TWICE EVERY DAY2. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT3. I WILL ENDEAVOUR TO BE NICE TO EVERYONE & TRY TO SEE THE FUNNY OR PECULIAR SIDE TO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUE
Sunday was a lot warmer than Saturday but again occasionally overcast with a slight breeze. DH & I (with a small amount of time & assistance from DSis) worked in the garden for an hour or so - DH harvested 2 more pots of potatoes - 4 large potatoes, 5 marble sized & a dozen medium sized. DH also found an egg but sadly it hadn’t grown into a chicken 😂 The Fox obviously forgot where he/she had buried it 😉 Whilst DH & DSis were doing that I was peeling red potatoes & obtaining lots of eyes. Enough eyes to replant the 2 pots + when we emptied & sorted the shed we found a supply of potato grow bags 🥳 Now have 5 grow bags planted with eyes.
Our compost supply is now badly depleted so DH will be putting in an order for more. The rest of our time was spent sorting out the tomato plants - pinching out the yellowing leaves stems & re-staking the tomato plants in the raised bed. This year is the learning stage - so DH will also be purchasing a supply of 6’ canes.Surprised my DSis with a Sunday roast dinner 😆 - roast beef, red potato mash, farm shop potatoes used for roasties, carrots & green beans from the freezer + Yorkshires. DH made an excellent gravy. The whole meal was delicious 😋 so much so that DSis had a 2nd helping - a bit more meat & the last of the roasties. One slice of beef & small portions of beans, carrots, mash & gravy are in the fridge for a lunch for one person (probably DH 😉) with a fried egg on top 😉 Whilst dinner was cooking I continued with seed gathering from the ripe allium pods.Monday has started dry, bright & clear with lots of sunshine. DH & I have had toast & pate or marmalade for brunch. The potatoes harvested yesterday will be used for tonight’s dinner - boiled potatoes, oven baked salmon fillets with peas.1427 - 1428 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - Recycled1429 - 1433 Four empty compost bags, kitchen detritus - Binned
Hope you have taken a photo Nicnak 😉 Always really nice to have a clear/clearer shelf 🙂
Great to have a double duty appliance 👏
There you go Primrose - perhaps a future purchase should the bread making machine ever go to the great appliance store in the sky 😉
Tut, tut TC77 (I really miss the wagging finger emoji 🙁) you are still decluttering - one or fifty doesn’t matter - you are making a conscious decision to declutter 🙂😉 Have you got photos of Egypt & your mum 😉 - you don’t need the tablecloth 😉 so well done on putting in the CS bag where it will remain until dropped off at the CS 👏 Yippee 🥳 into the 1500‘s - one Gold Star ⭐️ on its way - well done 👏
Great work greent 👏 Nice that DD is involved in the decluttering decisions 👏 In pre- COVID days I donated my old seashells to the local CS who ran an arts & crafts club for kids. 😔
Absolutely counts as decluttering boazu 👏 - Hg goodies + you are fully recharged by the visit 😆
Good work short_bird 👏
Danni, fully in agreement with Primrose. I have to confess that I only recently got rid of all the quotations paperwork for my company pension scheme - only kept it for 5 years 😞BE KIND. STAY SAFE. 2 full green waste bins out for collection tomorrow
Had a lovely day with DD and DGD yesterday ( DD was painting our shed with DH although she did most of it ) and recluttered cwtches from each, such naughtiness, but it's the first time since March. Also decluttered some new garden potatoes for our lunch, which went in our tummies. (They were only leftover wrinkly potatoes from a sm that I planted, so I was pleased that there had been any in the soil ) Recluttered too many peanut butter cookies, baked by moi, but I did have help, the DGD mainly
However I have decluttered 5 lbs in weight in the last month by not eating so much bread. Yay !!
Happy decluttering all, everybody seems to be doing well.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8 -
Hi, sorry for the delay, had to unexpectedly go out on an errand. Thanks for the replies Primrose and Mrs_Salad_Dodger. I would never have thought about potential "computer hacking" and therefore "details lost". I've got quite a big wad of the pension literature so it will be good to get rid! Many thanks.7

Thank you for my gold star! Is it easy to put my stars and medals at the bottom? Think this will be motivating - even more. DD went to her dad's and meant to have tidied room and where she uses for school work ( study corner) so I could hoover. Opened door and was overwhelmed. Asked her if she's overwhelmed and wants help - said doesn't mind. Took out mountain of washing despite her saying everything clean..all.washed. 1503-1504 general bits from her room.
Then as up early did abit of mine
1505-1506 2 feverfew tonics best by 2018 , not risking
Some fabric on Freecycle - will count when out
1507+1508 DD 2 things in CS bag
1509 ood food binned
1510 diary returned to shop ( bought more for DD choice )
1511 - 1512 large box and other packaging recycled ( have far more than can ever need)
Still way to go but can't imagine what house would be like without all here. I still prevaricate with the fabric out/ in/out/in and finally out of the cupboard again for give away.8 -

4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUEMonday continued as a mostly sunny & warm day. I could do with some rain for the garden - I know, whinging about the weather 😞😉 One good thing - TWO, yes 2 tomatoes are starting to colour up 🙂 Our dinner was delicious 😋 🤤 I baked the salmon fillets in foil with a knob of butter. The hg potatoes were divine - boiled with no butter necessary. One question from DH was have you been weighing our hg potatoes? Er, that would be a no 😱 However as I only used the smaller potatoes, I had 4 larger potatoes left for another meal - weighed in at 0.816 kg 🥳 Every hg potato has come from ‘eyes’ - so very MSE 😉
Tuesday has started bright & sunny, reasonably warm but now cloudy with a breeze. DH has gone off to Belgium for a cigarette run before Br*x*t transition period is over. All slightly time consuming as you have to fill in paperwork to get back into the U.K. 👿 You are completely b*gg*r*d if you don’t have access to a printer or don’t own a smart phone - I despair 😩. I am just about to go to the P.O. to post the parcel I should have posted last week 😞

Great work TC77 👏 Not sure about adding a signature as I am not tech savvy. Mine is just copy & paste from a 2nd tab 😉 Fingers crossed 🤞 that the fabric stash will find its way out of your home 🤞
Great work Happy_Kitties 👏See you all later 🙂BE KIND. STAY SAFE. BREAK THE CHAIN. SAVE LIVES.MrsSD ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🏅1436/2020Be Kind. Stay Safe. Break the Chain. Save Lives. ⭐️2025 Savings Pot Challenge: As a monthly amount, running total = £379.00

I seem to collect thermas cups in my house. I had to remove two from the house over the weekend as one was completely broken and the other had no lid (it broke when I bought it).
A bag of clothes will be dropped at the charity centre today, and I still need to revisit that book case and remove ones that I don't need/want. I am also going to move round the living room and that means tidying out all the ikea unit drawers. That might result in a lot of items being removed from the house.
Have a lovely day. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
