4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUE
DH carried on pootling in the garage, then mowed front lawn - ours & next door’s. I had a chat with ndn in the rented house - the young lady who was there is currently at her sister’s place & the chap has the entire house to himself - he is very happy 😉 Apparently a gardener is coming soon to sort out the jungle that is the back garden 🤞
I did get up off my bfa & made my very first bread pudding - used up stale uncut loaf of bread + one stale slice & one stale roll - BBC Good Food recipe. DH & I had a portion each with whipped up double cream & it was delicious 🤤 Very reminiscent of Christmas Pudding. Have cut the rest into slices & there are now six slices in the freezer & 6 slices on a plate for snacking on 🙂 Dinner was pork steaks, mash, carrots & green beans. DSis feeling unwell so she ate her vegetables but her pork steak & mash have been covered in foil & put in the fridge. Her washing did line dry but popped in td for 15 minutes to take the chill off. I have also started my next hm soup which I will cook tomorrow. I have also finished reading books 7 & 8 of the Shipyard Girls but book 9 is not out until the end of the year 🙁 😒

Nicnak, Sorry I forgot you were tackling Artex 😒 but it sounds like you are doing a grand job 👏
Good work elsien 👏
EnergyShifter, being talked AT is exhausting 🙁. However, tired though you are, you have still managed some decluttering so very well done 👏
You are definitely more organised than me newlywed 😔 but you have inspired me to at least make a start & be brutal - my aspirational self is well & truly gone 😉 but it is a wrench 😢
Excellent work greent 👏 especially the sale items 👏
Good work villagelife 👏 every bit out helps 🙂 Well done to the repair man - as well as being his job it is probably also his hobby 😉 men are such simple souls - nudge, nudge, wink, wink 😉
Good work TC77 👏 Sorting photos is a mammoth job & can quickly rob one of the will to live 🙃 Glad you updated your numbering - it gets very confusing for me 😉🤔

Morning xx
I learned how to photo a photo and put it on fb yesterday... much to the alarm of my family and friendsI think I'm going to like my new phone after all. So going through photos and culling / uploading will be an ongoing job for me too soon.

Goodness, thank you so much, a gold star is the best thing that's happened since the start of covid!
Today I'm going to inventory the freezer and make a menu plan for the next couple of weeks to use up things that are needing to be used because they're getting a bit sad from freezer burn etc. We have some plate sized Yorkshires in there that take up a big space and were bought for Christmas which didn't happen because the children were poorly so I'm making savoury mince and veg for our main meal today to have in a couple of them. I split big packs into 4oz portions of meat as there are only two of us anyway and wrap them separately so it's easier to get just what we need not a whole big pack, it cuts down on waste and keeps portion sizes better too. I'm also needing the space for this years produce from the garden which is starting to come in and have some broad beans I need to get into the freezer for the winter so will declutter the fresh beans from the kitchen into the freezer and the pods to the compost heap.
Broad beans podded and in the freezer for the winter and casserole time, pods in compost bin!7 -
Well, such a lot to catch up on. I have had a busy weekend with lots of wins.
First; we sold our campervan. Its was old and didn't suit our needs. I couldn't stand up in it and the bed too narrow for me as I toss and turn and get hot all night. As I get older I am not willing to put up with the discomfort. I still feel bad to let it go but needs must and next year I will get a nice shiny newer one. It went to friend and and so one large item out.
DH has decluttered the front garden of brambles. A wildlife garden gone mad. We filled the brown bin but will have to do it again several time before the pile is gone.
Other wins include a bag of stuff sold on ebay. The money will go towards paying off my mortgage at the end of the year.
A bag of boots and shoes from the porch binned. Why I kept those slippers covered in paint I have no idea. And the porch is now tidy after a litle rearrangement.
More clearing in the RoD. I had a relevation too. I am a keen recycler and use the back of every piece of paper I have to write on, or at least keep it to do so. Getting all that paper together I find I have a pile literally 9 inches deep,( I measured it lol). I realised I could let this clutter go as I have TWO crates of paper books and notepads to use. So, I can happily announce two bags of paper to go to recycling proper.
Today it is damp so I am going to work on the RoD. I have places for some of the stuff but can't get it out as I can't get it past the wardrobe on the landing. Its f ire hazard but it is getting me down be cause DD and I have to shimmy past every thime we want to get to our rooms. Instead of waiting for it to be clear I am moving everything to one side and getting that wardrobe moved.
Sorry about the long post but I don't want to miss anything in this burst of activity. It feels good.
That brings my 2020 total to 26/52 bags plus 7 large items.
Take care as the lockdown eases everyone. Dd and I are going tot make some facemasks out of my fabric stash for friends family and work.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor.
