We recycle everything that we can every day, veg peels etc. get taken to a compost heap including egg boxes which will rot down, daily paper is used to light the fire when we're in colder weather so we save it at this time of year , glass milk bottles returned to the milkman.
Today I'm going through all my kitchen stuff to see what I haven't used for a while and am not likely to use and it will get put at the front for people to take if they want it.
Took a big bottle of the condenser tumble dryer water across to DD yesterday when we took the stair gates for her to use in her steam mop.10 -

Yesterday: Went through the supplies and got rid of a Few bits of out of date food (packet stuff and thankfully not too much), topped up the spice jars and binned the empty packets. Tidied some things away and made banana and choc chip cake so decluttered quite a bit of that too!
went through my magazine Sweet Recipes clippings folder and decluttered the ones I am honestly never going to make (to much effort).
The other week I decluttered some Cheap silicone egg rings That have been replaced by better quality ones from the land of lakesworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?10 -
1. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS” - MINIMUM 30 MINUTE BURSTS OF ACTIVITY AT LEAST TWICE EVERY DAY2. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT3. I WILL ENDEAVOUR TO BE NICE TO EVERYONE & TRY TO SEE THE FUNNY OR PECULIAR SIDE TO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUELast night’s dinner was sm meatballs in an hm tomato sauce with spaghetti.Sunday is yet another bright day - sunny but windy & no sign of the promised heavy rain. We appear to have missed all the good soaking rain for the garden, so will have to water twice daily. DH has been up & at ‘em - reattached the newly powder coated top box rack & detached the speaker covers on the motorbike to clean out the dead insects - everything still works 👏 I have finished my weekly magazine competitions & read the magazine from cover to cover & had an half hour playing AB2 whilst drinking my cuppa.
Had a chat to Mr & Mrs G - they were off to Canary Wharf with their 2 boys - weekly treat of fried chicken sat in the park. Discussed the ‘bubble’ - very complicated so I am glad that we are ignoring the whole concept 😉 DSis has a wash load on & May get to line dry 🤞
No idea what is for dinner nor do I know yet what I am going to do this afternoon - I am still rather stuck in the ‘Kingdom of CBA’d‘ 🤣
1074 - 1076 Plastic bottle, glass jar, cardboard packaging - Recycled
1077 - 1078 Kitchen detritus, pair of DH’s Sunday socks - BinnedWell done TC77 👏 - very restrained of you to ONLY count bags rather than items 😉
Keep up the good work Nicnak 👏 Which room/s is/are being decorated & what is your colour scheme? Enquiring minds aka nosey c*w would love to know 😂Good work roundtuit 👏Great work villagelife 👏 I especially like the garden tools being ‘foisted off’ to the repair man 🤣 only joking 🙃 Hopefully he can make a few Bob & will therefore be more amenable to coming round again if needed 😉Great work on the recycling boazu 👏 & because you are combining this with a kitchen drawer/cupboard sort out I am awarding you your first Gold Star ⭐️ Thank you for the timely reminder that I really should have another sort through of my kitchen stuff 👏
Excellent work gilly1964 👏 still bringing in the pennies 🙂Well Done newlywed 👏 Thank you for the reminder that I really do need to go through my cookery books, various handwritten recipe notebooks, recipe clippings etc & collate them - just so much hard work 😓 & sadness letting go of my Nigella Lawson aspirations 😂However as you are biting the bullet, I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ to add to your other two 🙂Will see you later when I get up off my ‘bfa’- I will leave you all to work that out 😉BE KIND. Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x10 -
Yoga mat and surplus plants freegled.
More cables added to the recycling pile.
One broken net plate protector thing re-purposed as a salad leaf protector.
I'm aiming to tackle the shed tomorrow if I can bring myself to get past the cobwebs.
Already got 8 bags of garden waste for the tip but I don't count that as decluttering because it's just the gardening I do anyway.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.10 -

444. The water-logged & distorted top of an old console table binned - DS & I had great fun breaking it up!
I've been resting up / pottering for much of the weekend and not looking forward to a busy week at work. I could do with a week off work - I've been saving up leave so I can take a day a week off but I feel like I could do with a bigger chunk of time off... Anyhoo - managed some decluttering / productive tasks....

446. Old phone case
447. broken stanley knife

Thanks @Mrs_Salad_Dodger i didn’t expect a gold star but will wear it with pride!
i have my recipes in “display books” they are like a book of plastic pockets so easy to add to and remove. I have one for sweet, one for meals and one for slow cooker. I guess I will have to carry on going through them now!I often bookmark recipes on my tablet but one website went down for a couple of years so I lost a cake recipe until recently the website came back up. So I think I need to be printing Recipes off still.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?9 -
