I save all the folded white papers from RM survey inserts and cut them up I to little squares for shopping lists and my daily To Do lists. Seems a waste just to throw them straight into the recycling bin.11

Primrose, I can't get my teenager to use the backs of papers she makes notes on. Any paper which is blank on one side I make into a5 pads using a bull dog clip.eams A4 torn in half. Hate throwing anything away! Hence my clutter. I do put old clothes for textiles but wonder if I should be using for dusters first. Sure my mum used old pants as dusters but along with darning socks ( I gave up 2 years ago) is not done nowadays! Will update v small numbers tonight .11

1. DO NOT PUT OFF TO TOMORROW WHAT CAN/SHOULD BE DONE TODAY2. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS” - MINIMUM 10 MINUTE BURSTS OF ACTIVITY UNTIL THE DECLUTTERING MOJO RETURNS (Thanks oceanspirit 👏)
3. LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
4. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
5. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S?
Tuesday was a mainly sunny day interspersed with rain showers. The buses were up the spout due to water works 🙁 so plenty of walking yesterday 😉 - F*tb*t was happy even if I wasn’t 😂 although I did manage to miss all the showers 🥳 My acupuncture & Massage was very relaxing 😌 Then walked to MrA for a medium sized shop. Dinner was frying steak, oven chips, baked mushrooms & tomatoes + garden peas - 😋
Wednesday is a mainly rainy day interspersed with dry periods 😆 DH has given the front lawn a quick trim & is now in the garage working on one of the motorbikes. I have emptied & sorted the contents of one wall unit drawer. The stationery items are now sorted - like with like & stored in the new cabinet. A few pens & couple of Pr*tt sticks into CS bag & some rubbish binned.
476 - 482 Large cardboard box, Uu shower gel bottle, 2 lots of cardboard packaging, newspaper, glass jar, bag of kitchen recycling - Recycled
483 - 485 Bag of office detritus, bag of kitchen detritus, small bag of dried ink cartridges & general rubbish from drawer - Binned
486 - 488 Two cardboard boxes for packaging, glass jar repurposed as pen pot
489 - 494 Four pens, 2 Pr*tt sticks - CS bag
Good work villagelife 👏
Holmefarm, congratulations 🥳 on the birth of your daughter - I had to laugh at her nickname - ‘chunky monkey’ 😂 You are doing really well on your decluttering 👏 putting me to shame 😞 - I have no excuses - just bone idle 😉 Keep up the good work but don’t tire yourself out 🙂
Great work Marpau 👏 Two entire rooms sorted 🥳 and only one RoD 😉
Brilliant work retiredinfrance 👏 All caught up 👏 Definitely NOT boasting just taking pride in your successful decluttering - I do so lurve a tidy sewing drawer 🤭
Nathalia - you are more than welcome. I hope the cat danced as well 🤣
Keep up the good work shangaijimmy 👏
Thanks for the quotes newlywed 👏
Well done pixtotts 👏 Re the “battle of the studio boxes” - can you move one out of the studio & then start sorting? Oceanspirit’s timely reminder of 10 minute bursts of decluttering activity reminded me of ‘Eating the Elephant’ - breaking down tasks into manageable chunks. I know, I know - practice what I preach 😂
Excellent progress Happy Kitties 👏 especially the neutral items. Saying that I missed awarding you a gold star 😞 so here it is - One Gold Star ⭐️ 👏
Primrose, snap 😆 - the bits of paper are also useful for pen testing 🙂
Another snap 😆 TC77 - I think that is why so many of us have clutter 😉 - we remember when our mums/grandmas etc kept bits & pieces as they hated wastefulness. Only problem now of course is that we don’t want to leave behind loads of ‘toot’ for others to sort 😉 Probably why we are all decluttering - better to be embarrassed 😳 alone 🤭 rather than worrying about what others will think 😉
Anyway I have wittered on long enough, so I will love you & leave you 😀

Hi everyone,
Joining this thread to hopefully spur me on with decluttering. I was full of good intentions at the start of the year but it’s fizzled out.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸11 -
Couldn't move the second box of hangers on Freegle, chaz didn't want them so in the bin
. New unused mop to a friend. Tablecloth and old coat to recycling. On the other hand I accidentally double ordered some cleaning stuff online so I've got more than I need now

pixtotts said: Luckily mine's a loose leaf subsctiption from Bird and Blend so it's 3 lots of tea in 25g pouches then they come in a card envelope, they have a cute post card with the tea descriptions on one side and a cute themed picture on the front designed by a different artist each month. This months has easter bunnies on it and the teas were creme egg, easter nests, and simnel cake, I've had the easter nests before but not tried the others yet, their previous cake teas have been really good though!
I recently bought some self fill biodegradable bags that are helping me drink more loose leaf (I'm on a mission to get my stash down before it all goes out of date >.<), I have a load of the metal / silicone infusers but they are such a faff to clean out I find I just can't be bothered with them, so the tea bags are working out much easier and I'm drinking a lot more of it!
I know what you mean about tea infusers. I have seen the fabric refillable teabags though and I keep meaning to try those - do they stain very brown though?working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?10 -
Not much from me today... decluttered the glass and tins recycling.Ticked off a procrastinated job and reduced future clutter too, rang to cancel which paper magazine and they offered online version and six months half price. Ok thanks that will do nicely
might have had a couple of eBay deliveries though so a bit neutral today. Have kept to the food plan though so hopefully will declutter some more weight again shortly and then more clothes can go.
as soon as the weather cheers up then two pairs of boots will be decluttered with a plan to replace one of them before next winter.Must try harder....working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?11 -
sorting socks tonight - paired 14 pairs and have over 20 odd socks (there's only teenager and me, and she's been wearing my socks - 12 of the pairs are hers and I've put away. Trying to get her to look after things - she slipped in the street, and currently lying on the hall floor while we work out how to move her (injured arm and leg) but hope she realises the risk of tripping and slipping at home410 - mouldy food out411 hard boiled eggs that I left boiling for far too long !412 - 414 socks with holes into draught excluder415 paper clutter416 electronic clutter417 dining room table clutter sorted - not much thrown away but in its right place11

I've been buying lots of vegan cookbooks - mainly 2nd hand ones from different online places. As I learn more about vegan cooking I'll put them back on sale. One of the first ones I got was listed on e*ay and has sold, as it cost me nothing that's £3.85 profit.
Decluttered a yogurt maker - complete with spare empty jars - to a friend.
Same friend took a quilted bed cover and several towels for her pet beds and 2 jackets that have been in the garage for a year or more to wear. She also took several packets of dulse (seaweed) for her 6 year old daughter - who prefers it to sweets.Clutter free wannabee 2021 /52 bags to cs. /2021 'stuff' out of the placeYOU CANNOT BE ALL THE GOOD THAT THE WORLD NEEDS, BUT THE WORLD NEEDS ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN BEtaken from Shelbizleee on YouTube - her copyright11
