Looks like a good standard "own space" defence. You might want to read THIS post and/or the threads by CEC16 and basher52 which all contain good defences of the spurious £60 written by beamerguy and Coupon-mad. If you don't have time before you need to submit your defence, you could add the points to your witness statement later in the process.

Thankyou. I clicked on your link and will add points 7, 8 and 9 along with points 12 and 12.1 .

I’m way from work from tomorrow evening so I have till tomorrow afternoon.

Gladstones have emailed me with a Directions Questionnaire stating they want to mediate ? As far as I understand I don’t owe anything so what’s to discuss? I have read the Newbies thread and understand how to fill the form so Thankyou. However I have checked on the MCOL site and cannot see the questionnaire on there and haven’t received anything in the post. Should I just wait ? Will it come in the post
The email from Gladstones is the only notification I have,  Any advice please ? Thank so much

Did you see the list in one of my 13th December posts?
    Later versions included the following:

After filing your Defence, there is more to do...

Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire. Nothing of interest there. Just file it.

Wait for your own Directions Questionnaire from the CCBC, or download one from the internet - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/form-n180-directions-questionnaire-small-claims-track , and then complete it as described by bargepole in his 'what happens when' post linked from post #2 of the NEWBIES thread - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822/newbies-private-parking-ticket-old-or-new-read-these-faqs-first-thankyou"]

The completed DQ should be returned by email to the CCBC to the same address and in the same way as your Defence was filed earlier.

Send a copy of your completed DQ to the Claimant - to their address on your Claim Form.

  • Well now Gladstones have sent me more claim form court letters for my other car same situation on the the 12 feb for £424.52. In December I asked cpm for a subject access request and stated repeatedly the reminder that it should be one claim and not multiple claims . Cpm have sent me nothing despite me providing the proofs and now I have this from Gladstones again. Do I just file the same defence again ? Waste of time again. I half wish I could sue them for wasting my time and causing me stress. Thanks for your help

Do I just file the same defence again ?
Plus the wording about consolidating the claims, like all the other 'duplicate facts two claims' threads.

That wording was written by bargepole ages ago on here and includes the keywords 'Henderson' and 'essentially' IIRC, so if you can get the AWFUL new forum search to work, hopefully you will find it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • So you sent a SAR and got no response? What did you put in your ICO complaint? When did you chase them?
If theyv ebreached the DPA2018 you can sue them for that....

I put the request in on the 22nd December, I chased them on the 21st February. They sent me an email saying they will look into it.
Ok I will send the same defence with the additional duplicate wording added by trying to search for it. Thankyou
  • So I have just received an email from my employer again as my car is a lease car. It seems the lease company paid the pcn despite my full explanation of action to date and the circumstances and so now my employers are going to have to pay them from my March salary. I’m beyond furious and don’t know what to do. Financially I am struggling as it is. Fed up with this cpm and their nonsense! Can anyone advise ?
I have emailed my employer back stating I do not consent to the action and have shared the mcol claim number but doubt this will have any impact.

Unless they can do this as a part of your lease contract or contract of employment then they could be committing an offence by taking money from your salary. Check your contracts and contact your union if you have one , or possibly citizens advice or acas
