Corbyn had a lifetime tax plan of £125K.
That meant once you spent over 125K on say your kids, you'd get taxed. Many people including WORKING CLASS people didn't want the extra tax.
Jeremy Corbyn; Tried to tax the many instead of the few.0 -
I voted Lib Dem but I had grave reservations about their undemocratic brexit policy.
True. And one of the reasons why they failed.
Fact of the matter is that for those of us against both Corbyn and Brexit, there was inadequate political representation.
Many simply may have chose to chance Brexit to get rid of Corbyn.0 -
I didn’t vote Tory but that just demonstrates the quality and belief in the opposition that so many people felt they have to vote Tory.

As did many others judging by where their "PM in waiting" ended up?0 -
If you were a Londoner, you'd be aware of the fiasco over the special Boris buses that cost 5 times as much as ordinary buses. The £10s of millions spent on a bridge that never got built. And there were other extremely wasteful projects that appealed to Boris's vanity. The thought of him doing the same with the nation's money fills me with horror.
And, of course, you can't believe a word he says.
Yet he was elected twice as London Mayor. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Jeremy Corbyn; Tried to tax the many instead of the few.
More like tried to screw many instead of few
Basically Labour failed because they ignored their core voters who supported Brexit.
Labour and LibDem both tried to eat Remain cake and got smaller slices.
Conservative supported Brexit and got all the cake to themselves.
Farage didn't get any cake but he baked the cake.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -
It is a good election result for the country because it is so very obvious that the 'evil tories' are going to swing back to the centre now that they have the numbers to actually get anything done. Regardless of what you think of his private life, that is more or less the tangible, measurable track record on what actually matters. That is politics, they don't want to lose their new seats in 5 years time. Yes Boris is an (sometimes funny) idiot, but at least he has the sense to defer to people who know better. Perhaps a lot of us are simply fed up of the "you should live your life how we say you should live it" crowd that the other loons are more interested in spending their time coming up with the right words to virtue signal to instead of coming up with workable solutions to real issues. Keep protesting for a 'peoples' vote, so the same 'people' can vote again, since us 'people' haven't heard enough about how much a bunch of idiots we are for voting leave the first time. Good riddance, move on already and stop being the sore losers that the majority clearly think the minority has acted like over the last few years. Obviously that is not aimed at all remain, all Labour, Lib Dem voters, but I suppose the ones who will shout the loudest will see it that way.0

It is time to move on and get Brexit done now.
It has dragged on for far too long.0
