Just one more thing. I’ve read that private companies can access keeper details from DVLA only for “parking”, not pausing momentarily. Should I complain to DVLA/MP about keeper details being requested/released? Thanks.0

No, the DVLA will release data for stopping. Even for a second.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You need to read other threads to learn exactly what the DVLA will prostitute themselves for with your data for £2.50.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Happy New Year all.
There have been some developments.
New paperwork received today. Contravention changed to “Stopping in a restricted bus stop”. Same ticket PCN reference, but reissued with amended issue date of 30 Dec. Contravention date 27 Nov. Isn’t there a 14 day limit for them issuing tickets using ANPR?
In a separate envelope rejection of appeal for original contravention.
Confused about how to proceed. Advice appreciated.
Thank you.0 -

Thank you.
They may not be pursuing the keeper under PoFA, so the time limit is irrelevant, and should byelaws apply to the area covering the lay-by/bus stop, then there is no keeper liability. But any or all of this will only be unravelled by a Judge. In a separate envelope rejection of appeal for original contravention.Confused about how to proceed. Advice appreciated.

Thank you. I wasn’t clear if I should appeal the reissued PCN using the template text? New PCN has same appeal instructions as the original. Confusing as old and new PCNs have the same reference number.0

Is there any suggestion that there might have been more than one contravention? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

No. They emailed me on Boxing Day to say the original contravention was a mistake so they were issuing a new NTK with the correct contravention. However it has the same PCN reference number as original.0

Appeal it as keeper if you wish , it will still be rejected , meaning you are back to what Umkomaas said above , there is no magic bullet1
