Totally agree with you on foodbanks Piggers - some bright spark will re-open workhouses next. And devastated by the result. And appalled by the lies and personal attacks.

    Any hoo

I won't have to set my alarm for 6:30 until next year! wooty wooty woot woot

I have two afternoons at the paid stuff, it's my Thursday 'off' and I'm not require to attend the INSET on Friday because I already did those hours.

I've ordered a new WM to be delivered on Tuesday.

I've written and posted all my cards now and I am keeping track of cards received on my Xmas/addresses spreadsheet:T:T - every year I mean to do this and every other year I haven't. This will mean I prune out some people who no longer send to me.:T Flylady cards went our at the beginning of the week.

So plans for this weekend include kitchen and bathroom cleaning along with evacuation of old WM.

    And Christmas shopping.

Just having a cuppa then I'll do my physio.

So it’s no longer morning. I’ve been to big town for a click and collect. I won’t bore you but it has been the biggest mess up and at a shop I’m not particularly fond of anyway. Next time that DSiL suggests it, she can do it and I will pay her back. On then to MrM for the grocery shop. Some bright spark thought that resurfacing the main road starting today was a really good idea.... whole trip took way longer than bargained for.
Shopping sorted. Xmas decorations down. DD is in charge of them now so I am going to occupy myself with HHI. Wm run and threw a hissy fit. Sorted that.

    So much dust everywhere....,

My brain is sucked dry of life.. I am tired, really tired.. Everything is such a battle. We have had a trying day with Dot. Breakfast with Santa resulted in a meltdown in the middle of the Swimming lesson. I'm so fed up of seeing her struggle.. We have had ducks, dolphins, geese and hissing cats today. She had a total crash after swimming and slept for 3 hours from over-stimulation. This means no hope of sleep tonight but it calmed her a bit so she could do her homework. She flapped her hands so hard at the noise of Santa arriving she almost took off.

Boog starts work tomorrow.. and I am beyond stressed over this.. he is going to be out for 15 hours, he hasn't been out that long since he was in hospital for 5 days when he was diagnosed with diabetes 8 years ago. I don't think I am ready for this.. but I am giving it every ounce of enthusiasm I possibly can because this WILL be good for him. He WILL learn to appreciate and value the opportunities given in life.. and while it is very long hours it is also extremely good pay.

My next mission is a job for DS2. This will be hard work. He has a development delay and a lack of personal hygiene... I am going to struggle. It took 3 months to get Boog into work I am expecting DS2 to take longer.

I need to go to Tesco for cat biscuits on the way to pick up DD3 from work.. so no wrapping will be getting done tonight either.. that is 2 days of no wrapping.. I will NEVER get this done.

Yes, moaning is pretty much all I am doing at the moment.. I am letting it go rather than wallowing in it.

positive things.. I like the new cooker, it is bed time, the kittens are asleep and it is not raining!

cuppa.. and tesco .. happy days! ;)

I hope everyone else is rather more pleasant than I am at the moment xx

  • Ridiculous week.

I have told work we need an amendment to the staff dress code - specifically for my job.

Hopefully, now I've sent home somewhere in the region of 20% of the school at some point this week and they are listening to me saying DON'T COME BACK UNTIL YOU ARE BETTER or I will send them straight home again by 8.05am, [strike]as I am not a babysitting service for sick children[/strike], it might quieten down a bit for the last week of term.

Himself has his first trial gig with a new band tonight. I politely declined the invitation to go along [strike]and tech for them[/strike] on the grounds that I was sure I'd wake up this morning feeling like I'd been hit by a bus. I then went to bed early again and fell asleep long before he came up.

Not entirely amused by his waking me at 6.55am to say bye, though. I don't wake him when he has a day off, so why, on the day I'd actually slept through his alarms, did he feel the need to speak to me? Surely the response he got on Thursday night when he woke me up coming in after his works Xmas do at 12.35am, meaning I'd had a full 45 minutes sleep would have been a clue to LEAVE ME ALONE WHEN I'M ACTUALLY SLEEPING. Anyhow, I managed to doze after that, refusing to get up even when the cats tried to tell me that they hadn't been fed for days, until 1pm.

Since then, I have reheated some leftover takeaway and drunk 2 coffees with a decongestant and paracetamol chaser. I don't think I'm coming down with whatever the kids have, I think it's more physically exhausted - my step count has gone from about 4000 a day to 16,000 in the last couple of weeks.

I am going to shove a washload on, have a bath and then go back to bed.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

My Christmas tree is up, along with auxiliary decorations. Usually I wait until I have broken up so this is early. Prior to putting it up I cleaned the living room thoroughly. So a very good day.

Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.

I'm up and at them and in my head I plan to achieve more today than yesterday, but that won't be difficult.

Going to start by prepping tonight's roast dinner and cleaning the fridge, when I've had this cuppa.

    Have a great day everyone.
