delta13 said:At the moment I'm looking at a loss for July, or a very very modest amount saved - the cat's had an accident and the vet bills are quite expensive. I should be able to claim about half back from the insurance company, which will cover a large chunk that's on the credit card, but July's total will all depend on how quick the payout comes back to me and whether I'll need to recoup from my savings.
Never been so grateful for having savings put aside though! And for this group and forum for keeping me motivated and accountable!
I'm still waiting on a claim for some vet fees - that should be in within a couple of weeks so hoping for a better amount for August.

No17 - declaring £1100 for July. This is the usual £1000 plus my Regular Saver with FD matured so I have added the interest plus a couple of extra pounds. I have increased my target from £8,000 to £12,000, still saving hard for early retirement.

#27 reporting in with £4,143.48 for July. Fingers crossed some long-awaited and much needed work to the house and garden is about to start next week, which is good news (it was originally scheduled for April, but we all went into lockdown) but likely to put a dent in savings for the rest of the year.

#142 declaring £2,346.89 for July! Form updated. Getting into the swing of this saving lark and I enjoy seeing the figure add up. My June figure hasn’t made it to the spreadsheet yet but not sure if it’s just not been updated yet. Looks like I’ll have to increase my savings goal soon now I started side hustling to really boost my savings. I have a 5 year plan and will feel much more comfortable financially after then(having never saved before this year).
