Today is my wife's 60th birthday and spending it at home as opposed to 2 nights in Cardiff. It looks as though we will hit our target this month, her pension funds are down but the amount refunded from cancellations will just about equal lout. So although our target looks OK it is only due to the extraordinary circumstances we find ourselves in, and rather disappointed that we can't celebrate her birthday as we planned
    Final update next week.
    Keep safe everyone

No. #52 declaring £365 for March.  Update form for March and revised update forms for January and February submitted - sorry for the extra admin, Slowly.

My total is lower than usual this month.  I managed to save £1000 in my regular savings accounts, but dipped into my easy access savings to pay a credit card bill.  That said, I am incredibly grateful that I added anything to my savings this month, and that I am able to work from home and earn my usual income.

The reason I have revised my January and February totals is that I have decided to stop counting S&S ISA contributions towards my savings target (because I will not touch these savings unless I absolutely have to).  My total savings is now £2420.30, so lower than in February!  However, I am keeping my current target for now, because it should still be achievable (if challenging!) overall.

Hope you are all staying safe.

Revising up my total by £393.29, taking my March total to £1243.29 and my overall total to £2658.65. Self isolation seems to be good for the pocket!

I’ve also opened a SIPP this month, transferred an old workplace pension it, and started to make new deposits, so will hopefully be able to report tax relief as part of my totals shortly, as well as filling up the LISA to collect another 25% bonus in the new tax year.

Many thanks to the OP for administering this challenge, it must be a lot of work, but certainly helps focus the mind. Form submitted!

#19 reporting for March, £692.07. Have also just started, albeit belatedly and backdated, the £1 and the 1p challenge. As I have moved  permanently to Spain these are now in Euros. I haven't added them to my totals for this month but will include for next. My two remaining monthly savers expire in June, I am not eligible to open more now and there isn't the equivalent here, so not quite sure what I will be doing after that

Wentthedaywell? said: My shares and hence my 'saving' have taken another terrible tumble. I'm rounding it down to a £20k loss this month, which is a bit worse than it is, but means I won't have to look at the prices again this month as it's too depressing. I'm going to adjust my target to 0 if that's Ok Slowly? If I can end the year with the money I started with, rather than a big negative, I'd be pleased-ish.
Oof, that's really tough Wentie - I have to admit I've not been brave enough to look at my shares and investments. Maybe I'll take look at the end of December, maybe I won't. I've always understood investing has to be for the long-term, so with a bit of luck things will pick up for both of us in time. I'm thinking of 2 more years in work before I FIRE, so we'll see at that point whether the numbers add up.
