I’m so impatient with eBay things I already want lots of watchers!
Ok so today I have Mays curiosity cafe, and I need to drop Roo off. He’s all packed and ready to go :’( I have work at 2-5.30. Dreading it as still poorly, also need to plan it all. But today should be a NSD. Bolognese for dinner tonight. Smalls have had crumpets for breakfast I’ve had tea and rich tea. I’ll make OH scrambled eggs on toast for OH for breakfast and I’ll make him a pack up again. Not sure what I’ll have for lunch, toast and banana probably. Need to write an invoice for some work I did last year! I don’t know why I’m putting it off, it’s for £200!!!!1 -

The utility bills are in with the rent etc the £775 is my half of all bills and rent.
Well I’ve just been to Mays curiosity cafe, it was lovely. Waving off Roo was pretty sad though. I’m just sat eating honey on toast and drinking coffee. Was very tempted to go to costa and get exactly the same but would have been near on £5, so I’m pleased with myself! Also need to pick up £10 which I have overpaid for after school club. I have £7 in my bank so that makes £17. Was wondering whether to take May put after school tomorrow, as it’s just me and her for a change, and she desperately needs a hair cut. Then we could pop to the city and have tea and cake somewhere for a treat. I wonder if £17 would stretch that far? Trying to think of something cheaper but nicer to do, any ideas welcome x1 -
Also in other news. May needs new wellies. They’re far too small, and a pair of Roos trainers are suddenly too small this morning. I’ll keep the trainers for May as they’re just plain black and will do for PE. But I’m trying to find some decent cheap wellies. I’ve looked ok the FB groups just waiting for a reply of cheap ones. Have found a lovely pair on eBay but they’re £10 with postage. We go to the beach a lot so wellies are a necessity. I will check Primark tomorrow as have to go to the city anyway that’s if I’m not working. Still don’t particularly fancy going to work today but hey ho.1

Argh it has been one of those days and it’s not over yet! Have just got home from being at work and dropping May off at beavers. My voice barley held up for classes and I feel wretched. Someone else has gone off Ill at work. OH is working the late shift tonight and is going to have to do the early tomorrow, I was going to do it but I’ll just end up getting super poorly as I’m still not well. But he’s not well either. I’ve managed to juggle things a little. BIL is going to come round for an hour so that I can go and clean up for the last hour whilst OH teaches then we can both be home by 2145 ish instead of OH being home around 11. I’m also going to take over his morning shift for him at 11 tomorrow, as he has a haircut booked and that way he can go home and have a sleep after. So I’ll work 11-2 then go and pick May up and go and do cool things whilst OH sleeps. Best case scenario I can come up with!
Other things that have put a spanner in the works today. Have had to pay my car tax. Didn’t even realise it was due let alone overdue! So did that sharpish, so that was £20. OH has kindly paid that though. Also May has come home with loom bands and desperately wants to get more. She has £15 christmas money that I owe her, and it’s just me and her tomorrow so I’ve ordered her them from amazon so we can do them together. Also my accountant has just invoiced me for my year end and it’s £75 for some reason I thought it was more £45 but nevermind. Also no bids on my eBay stuff ‘sigh’.
In better news. I made both OH and May packed lunches from home rather than spending £8 On meal deals. Realised I have enough stew left over for tonight’s dinner so I don’t have to cook! Also and this is a major bonus my tax refund is going to be £230! Yay! Right best get my backside in gear to go and pick up May. Then I need to put her to bed, and tidy up for BIL to babysit!1 -
Also trying to be eco-friendly here, and it seems so hard on a budget!! I've just looked at the smol trial and it's seems really good value too.
I think eco friendly and money saving both seem to work when you do little things, all the time.0 -

Hi isitdoable. I’ll have a look at your diary in a min! You’re right and it takes a lot of thinking about. Knowing that my local Tesco and Sainsbury’s recycle plastic bags makes it a lot easier to save money too, so if I have to buy something prepackaged, I make sure it’s recycled.
Well in with one hand and out with the other. Just spoke to accountant about NI and if I want to pay it for the tax year 2018/2019 then that’s £130, so my refund is down to £100 and £75 if that goes to the accountant so all in all my refund equates to £25! Still better than a kick in the teeth I guess.
Have just unloaded the dishwasher, bleached the toilet, changed the litter tray, put the recycling out and emptied the bin and put May to bed. That’s about all the energy I have for now. Argh I really don’t want to have to go back to work to clean. I know I need to, I just feel so ropey and cold. Fingers crossed I can be back by 10 latest! I’d like to be showered and eating my dinner on the sofa by 10 but I doubt that but we shall see!1 -
Not feeling it today. Didn’t sleep as still feel awful, have to go to work at 11-2 and working tomorrow and saturday. Feeling Bleugh as I haven’t been able to train at the gym for nearly 3 weeks. Feel blueugh for working so hard and barely seeming to have any money. I seem to spend all of my time running around for everyone else and barely getting time to breathe, and I definitely don’t have time to be ill. Ex is being a !!!! about half term which really stresses me out. Ive realised I buy things to make myself feel good, like clothes or books or coffee! OH is super stressed with work too. Going to have to put my big girl pants on to get through this week but I can’t find any.
May is still asleep I think she could probably do with the day off school as she is tired and has a cold but I just can’t keep her off with having to go to work etc. ‘Sigh’ sorry to be so negative, just feel rubbish.

Oh dear missymoo81, everything always feels worse when you don't feel well. Good job you have somewhere on here to let it go.
I know it feels overwhelming at the moment. I always find concentrating only on what I need to do now and next stops the rest from overwhelming me - so getting May off and covering 11-2 and put the half term holidays issue on a little mental shelf in a tin for a while until you are better. There is no point worrying about that today ("I'll think about that tomorrow!" as Scarlett O'Hara said in Gone with the Wind).
Maybe take a little time to perk yourself up between May going to school and working - a homemade hot drink and a biscuit does wonders here.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Ok so diet appears to be consisting of cornflakes, toast, biscuits and whatever I do for dinner. Today will be bolognese. Still feel shoddy, trying to work up the enthusiasm to go into work. Need to go to Tesco straight after to pick up supplies for work. Going to get May and take her for tea and cake after school then home. I need to do some tidying and washing at some point.
I still can’t get over how much money I just spend without thinking, just random stuff! I’m going to have to try and not go to shops as then I can’t be tempted. But the internet is another thing! I’m supposed to be meeting my friend for coffee tomorrow as I haven’t seen her for months which will be another £5-£6. I had my sofa DD come out today which I hadn’t accounted for. I have very little in my account apart from my overdraft. I’m waiting for some payments to clear but they haven’t come through yet. I owe £150 to the CC account and £80 to dancing as OH can’t afford to pay it this month. Oh just remembered the £10 need go pick up from the school. I have £20 cash that OH gave me yesterday for my tax which I paid from my account. So I have £30 cash, and £30 in my account at present. Need to keep an eye as rent etc due on 7th. Sorry just rambling.1
