Good afternoon all,
Thanks for the link Clf, I'll show dh over the weekend. I hope you stay illness free!
Dh and I are out to another comedy show tonight, I don't think any of us have recovered from our late night on Tuesday night yet either but lesson learnt!
Today I have/will
:heart2: 2 gym classes and refilled water bottle :A
:heart2: make families lunches for tomorrow :A
:heart2: wash 2 loads on the quick 30 degree wash :Aand hang on the heated airer :A
:heart2: put a few more decorations up and box some others up to take to my dads as we're having xmas day at theirs instead this year.
:heart2: rm surveys :A
:heart2: run the dishwasher on the quick wash :A and empty :A
:heart2: cancel tomorrows gym classes(I booked them on auto pilot) as I've got the arborist coming tomorrow (we have T.P.O trees so we have to have permission to cut them from the council and can't cut them ourselves) :A
:heart2: check banking/update cashbook and pay for ds2s guitar lesson :A
That's my start.
Take care all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Afternoon all
OH's fussy rellies have gone and I am free again :j
Seriously though, it wasn't too bad (we had done lots of prep to head off too many issues), but glad it is done and we can get back to what passes for normality round here :rotfl:
Spendy day yesterday as we took rellies out and paid for lunch etc, but nothing spent today, and I have loads of food left, so will not need to shop for a while.
Other than making a picnic lunch for rellies to take on their train journey and waving them off, I have:
Checked banks
Sorted out spare room, stripped off and remade beds, put extra blankets, pillows etc away, moved furniture, cleaned shower room, put baby's cot back up, got kids' toys out of the eaves cupboard so they can play when they come round etc.
Packed and posted an ebay parcel
Walked to post office / sales unit, took a couple of new items with me which was good as I had some gaps on my shelves :T Will need to restock properly on Monday.
Dinner will be leftover salad stuff, ham from the freezer and a jacket potato
Looking forward to an early night0 -

Thanks 1LL am sitting on couch after a long weird day completed work task in style ( could have done slightly better - will aim to do that next year) but the stress, the stress, the stress of it is over.
It cost me an other tyre as hit a kerb on the way to work, drove on a half flat all the way, had to get tow truck as no spare tyre still. So now not sure when it will be done tomorrow or how I will get in to work. But I will talk to the tyre place in the morning.
So finally got home, wit a bottle of wine and bits for dinner in my backpack at 7.30 - after leaving house at 6.30. So a long fay with a decent ending. So again not my year with cars - I think it is a sign from the planet.
Tomorrow I'll get back to MSE, lost my way a fair bit for the last 2 days.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Morning all!
Urgh - even though I'm glad that my body seems to be back to a sensible circadian rhythm (tired at night, alert in the morning), I could do with not pinging awake at 5.23 ON MY DAYS OFF!
We don't seem to be ill, but keep crossing those fingers as we have to go to mil's today. I will be scrupulously washing my hands and nagging OH to do the same (why are boys so lazy when it comes to washing hands??!!)
I've literally laid in bed since though (not including a brief excursion to the kitchen for breakfast and coffee). Up properly now and trying to think of what needs doing today:
:heartpuls B/L/D from stores
:heartpuls Pack up bits to take to mil's for cooking
:heartpuls Big shop
:heartpuls Mild today and out for most of it so heating off
:heartpuls Package up ebay parcel
:heartpuls Take family cards to mil's for distribution
:heartpuls Get shower at mil's after putting decs up as need to go grubbing about in the attic. Also need to retrieve bag of old bits and bobs that I noticed in the attic crawl space in January. Must not fall through the ceiling.
:heartpuls Might take crochet to mil's but likely won't get time to do any
have a good one all

Morning all :hello:
Dawn your guests are very lucky to have such an accommodating host. And your brother is very lucky too, for all that you do for him.
Not sure too much will be achieved today as need to catch up on some rest, but have some plans that include:
Collecting the item I forgot yesterday and picking up some tiles
Something sorted for tea
Make sausage rolls
Washing done overnight on airer
Take snacks out with us this evening
It’s payday so do the money shuffle
Pay just for points CC in full :A
Reconcile balance of just for points card
Set up a smart bulb.
Have a good day all. Purps.0 -
Afternoon all
I am pleased to be able to report that I have done very little so far today!
Washed hair and left to dry naturally
Long chat on the phone with DD1
Ordered grand daughters' Christmas presents (their Christmas lists made me laugh, survival kits, a mis-spelled dictionary and ballet shoes :rotfl:)
Food from home, finished off leek and potato soup made the other day for lunch
And I have few plans for the rest of the day
Will make naan bread pizzas to use up various leftovers for dinner - only instead of naans I will be using thick slices of slightly stale white home made bread
Normal service will resume tomorrow!0
