Well that's a shocker!! Not even getting 1mb download and am paying for up to 8MB with Orange broadband!

Will be trying again later to see if there is any significant difference and if after a few trials no improvement will definately be complaining, but that won't be easy to Orange will it?!!!
AND techinical support is charged at such a premium rate too!!

I left BT due to the throttling after 6pm, basically if you use your connection they penalise you for it, most isp's do this. I changed to a company that didnt throttle but has peak and off peak times with good download limits, my speed went from 0.5mb to 6.7mb.

Download Speed: 6698 kbps (837.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 383 kbps (47.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

  • up to, up to, up to,

two tiny words that had us fooled. We got bombarded with calls from BT to switch our package which we did with numerous problems (but that's a whole other thread). They don't tell you till you do some digging that your line can't even handle 8 meg should you be priviliged enough to recieve it?!?!

Sounds like a MSE crusade and a warning to all new Broadband customers....
up to, up to, up to!
