I am on a fixed and very stable 2 Meg and I get exactly what it say's on the tin.
But I am with a top class ISP.0 -
Well that's a shocker!! Not even getting 1mb download and am paying for up to 8MB with Orange broadband! :eek:
Will be trying again later to see if there is any significant difference and if after a few trials no improvement will definately be complaining, but that won't be easy to Orange will it?!!!

My figures on this test tonight were 209 down and 284 up.....
Paying £30.00 a month for this which includes all calls.0 -

I left BT due to the throttling after 6pm, basically if you use your connection they penalise you for it, most isp's do this. I changed to a company that didnt throttle but has peak and off peak times with good download limits, my speed went from 0.5mb to 6.7mb.

two tiny words that had us fooled. We got bombarded with calls from BT to switch our package which we did with numerous problems (but that's a whole other thread). They don't tell you till you do some digging that your line can't even handle 8 meg should you be priviliged enough to recieve it?!?!
Sounds like a MSE crusade and a warning to all new Broadband customers....
