Afternoon all
Washing done, master bedroom wardrobes emptied ready for decorator to come next week, more presents wrapped ready to send tomorrow. I just have one more delivery to arrive and then I can finish all my present wrapping for this year.
Not really done much else, bit of reading, bit of knitting. DH still coughing and spluttering, I’m not feeling too bad so hope I can shake it off this time. Pretty tired though so I think the rest of the evening will be spent relaxing.
Have a nice afternoon all. See you on the new thread x0 -
Ouch Valli.
For the first time in weeks, I am going into the new thread on a flying start. Excuse the pun, not intended.
Bathroom and en-suite cleaned, downstairs dusted and whole house vacuumed. Washing and ironing up to date temporarily.
Cooking a roast chicken dinner. Cake made and a pudding cobbled together from the fridge and freezer. Knackered now.
See you on the new thread.0 -
Himself was feeling miserable yesterday because he's an utter numpty who decided everything we've been doing to combat his yearly SAD wasn't working and he stopped doing it.
One kick up the 'Arris later, he's been up today and I have pressganged him into helping me empty the entire linen cupboard, refold linens, chuck out ones that we don't like or need, sort curtains out (the logistics of actually getting a curtain pole on the bay are worse than usual, thanks to overlapping walls, pointless bits of wood embedded in the ceiling and suchlike), stick a load of stuff into the loft, dispose of old coathangers, chuck out a hamper/basket thing that looks terrible as it was a freebie about 20 years ago and has only ever been stuck on the top of the wardrobe with a cat occasionally perching on top, vacuum out the linen cupboard, replace linens we actually use, use the bottom half to store the steam generator and vacuum cleaner, make the bed and get some decorations down.
I have also cleaned the sink (again), wiped down all countertops, put all the washing up away (reorganising the cupboard in the process as usual so that glasses aren't precariously balanced on wobbling piles of uneven crockery) chucked the recycling out, emptied the bin, done a load of washing and drying, cleaned the WM drawer and seal, watered the plants, changed the settee throws, changed the cushion covers to the Blue-And-Yellow place's red/white folk prints and tartans, got a set of curtains down to put across the front and back doors and left everything ready for him to start cooking.
And I have stuck descaler down the toilets, replenished toilet rolls, folded and hung up towels and generally done everything except vacuum, mop or scrub the bathroom sinks.
I think it's time he shifted himself. He's been upstairs for two hours since I wore him out with the attic trips.
Time to get a wiggle on again, I reckon.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
