Cleaning for the day done
Tree is up, OH wants to help decorate it, so he has gone out on his motorbike............now he is back he has gone to sleep.......................so the cat is sitting in the box of decorations, first playing with them, and now he also has gone to sleep on top of them!!!
I guess I will have to wait for 'help', if I do it on my own, that will be wrong and lead to an argument or similar.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Afternoon all
Bedding stripped, washed and clean linen on
Whole house hoovered and dusted
Bathroom and downstairs loo scrubbed
Kitchen cleaned
Food shop done
Parcel collected
Beef in red wine casserole made and portioned up for the freezer
All bins emptied and washed
Litter trays emptied, washed and refilled
I’ve just collapsed in a chair with a cuppa after that lot! DH is just finishing off with the hoovering downstairs, he’s been working most of the morning but offered to finish off for me and I wasn’t going to say no!
I have presents to wrap and cards to write but I think that may be tomorrow’s job, I would also like to do a deeper clean of the kitchen and conservatory but will see how I go. Headache has cleared but I’m pretty tired after the early start so the rest of the day is reserved for not very much!
Hope you are all doing ok, hugs, sticks and spoons available to those in need x0 -
House is a pit
But I had my monthly volunteering to do this morning.
Back in; had soup. Washing has been on line (woot) and I did manage to iron last night before I fell asleep sitting up watching TV. at 9:30 ish.
Logging out now to get my arris in gear.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Sink is clean.
One countertop is clean and a binbag of crud is in the wheeliebin. There is a large paper bag I bought some blouses in sitting by the front door filled with cardboard and paper, ready for the recycling and all assorted scraps and bits have been duly scooped up and put in their correct receptacles.
I have had a muffin, two buckets of coffee, paracetamol, a decongestant, am liberally anointed with menthol headache stuff and I'm waiting on the vaguely tidied settee for Himself to come back from work with tomato soup.
Yesterday culminated in unleashing my Do NOT Test Me, Child voice on somebody who most definitely earned the honour bestowed upon them. And then a seamless reversion to Nice Miss Tightfisted in the next breath - I had noticed a number of Senior heads (and Heads) poking out of doors in the process, but they disappeared back inside, so presumably they decided I had it under control. Himself's day involved computer systems falling over and dying and his unwilling transformation into a Manager Managing The Problems, complete with telling other staff what to do during the calamity and resolving it effectively. The post work gin [strike] three doubles and a shot [/strike] thanks to a friend arriving in the pub once we were in there bemoaning our days probably didn't help my head this morning.
The application had an absolute cutoff time of 11.59pm. After much swearing, I clicked SEND at 11.57pm. I doubt that it was a particularly good application [strike]when doing it half cut and exhausted[/strike] in the circumstances, but it did go in, which, considering I had to write a personal statement in four and a half minutes, is still an achievement. And I've always seemed to have got the best results from the applications I've put the least effort into, for some reason.
This time in two weeks and I'll have a fortnight off. Himself is working the majority of shifts, as a) we need the money and b) he's now used to actually doing stuff each day, so is concerned he'll get bored/lazy. No such concerns for me, I'll be doing as little as possible. Apart from probably some flying. If I can be bothered. And maybe some shopping.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

My life sucks.
Cards written..
Washing up to date.
Dirty pots all up to date.
New cooker supposed to be coming tomorrow.. and my head is gone...
I'm not getting my christmas decs up this year because no one is lifting a finger to help so they can all fluff off.. I'm not doing EVERYTHING.
I no longer cook for the adult children and I have thrown a wobbly about them wasting food and leaving dirty pots about about the house.. I am a joy to behold, everyone wants a bit of my company!! HAHA!!
My kittens are too sweet though.. naughty little beasties.. They are no longer worm riddled though.. that's got to be a good thing!

Morning all
Awake early again... DH has coughed and spluttered all night, and now I’m pretty sure I’m getting the cold again. What a pair we are!
Anyway, I’m going to have a lemsip to soothe my throat a bit and may as well just make a start on the things I need to get done today.
Hope you’re doing ok. Back later x0 -

I am on my own today until at least 2 pm. I have had a good nights sleep so there's no excuse not to get this pit sorted out.

Morning
Late night at the work Christmas do. Clear headed but tired this morning although to be fair that is mostly due to the lingering cold and cough.
Laundry shuffle done. Hoping to hang this load outside. Coffee machine in process of being descaled. Bathroom cleaning stuff sitting on work surface, looking at me disappointedly. That is the next job on my list.
Christmas decs are still in the loft. I’m in no hurry to change that.0
