I did two hours overtime yesterday and I’m working Saturday so I’ll have a bit extra to throw at the debt, I’m determined this will all be gone. I rang both companies that were dealing CCS debt I no long know who has I they’re both saying ring the other company, this is a right pain so I’ll just have to wait. It was with CCS they passed it to Lowell and now neither want to deal with it it’s just so frustrating.

I did have a bit of luck though I managed to get carpet for the living room for the cost of petrol to collect it and it’s in really good condition so that’s one room done I just need underlay and grippers and it’s good to go so I’ve managed to carpet the living room for about £70. So I’m really pleased.

I’ve also ordered 104 bottles of DD’s milk as Tesco have it for £1 instead of £1.50 and the date is for next year so I’ve saved £52 for the year DD thought I was bonkers but it can go in the cupboard under the stairs and the way I see it a saving is a saving :rotfl:

Wishful you are doing really well. Great result on the carpet, it will transform your room, flooring always makes such a difference.
I started knitting again last year, and crochet. I tend to do simple things but I find it very relaxing. I'm just starting on a blanket for a young relatives's doll. Using up odds and ends of wool and I think she will be very pleased.
    Have a nice evening

Thank you blackcats I’m getting there. I knitted a blanket last year I love it too, I like to relax and watch TV. Well done for taking it back up and what a cute project to make I think people appreciate homemade gifts as a lot of thought gets put into them.

I’m making all the meals for the week tomorrow:-

Sunday belly pork slices, roast potatoes, stuffing and broccoli
Monday piri, piri chicken rice and peas
    Tuesday same as Monday
    Wednesday spag Bol
    Thursday same as Wednesday
Friday homemade fish cakes, wedges and baked beans
Saturday homemade pizza using up any bits of veg and meat

Breakfast porridge with fruit or mushroom omelettes

Lunches for the week either homemade soup and bread or jacket potatoes with vegetable curry

I’ve started to weigh my veg out now into proper portions I’m actually surprised how little a portion actually is. I’m trying to eat at least a portion of fruit of vegetables with each main meal and then have fruit for snacks to make it up to 5 a day.

Food shopping today cost me £29.95 5p under budget but still under so that’s the main thing.

So th debt I hope would be a while catching up with me caught up with me today so now I’ve get another £7,045.61 to add to the total. I spoke to them and told them I am trying to pay everything off and offered them £10 a month it’s all I can do right now, they also have the debt I’ve been trying to pay off and the companies were giving me the run around.

Not much more I can do other than plod on with the plan even though the debts nearly doubled I’ll get there eventually.

Try not to let it get you down..Whether it caught up with you now or 4 years down the line it would still be the same amount to pay back. Keep to your plan, because you never know what the future holds. (((hugs)))

I agree with Chrystal. It must feel very disheartening but it sounds like you were expecting it at some stage. You can do this - you've made a great start and potentially this could be the last time ever that your debt increases.
  • I was expecting it at some point, I’m just going to keep going there is nothing more that can come now, non of the debt was paid by my ex before he swanned off but it is what it is. I’ve just added it to the rest and it will set me back but I’m determined. If I can stick to the plan I’ll have two debts left at the end of the year. Then next year I’ll try and clear the old rent so it’ll just be this big debt left.

I’m not letting it get to me, to be honest the debt agencies have been pretty good with me so far, I think if you deal with them and are honest they do try to help you. Well off for a well earned coffee now

Took on work on Saturday this weekend I get time and a half so that’ll be an extra 16 hours (24 normal hours pay) in this pay day it’ll go straight on the debt.

I’m so fanatical about where my money goes now more than I’ve ever been in my life. I am in the mindset of once I’ve paid an amount off that’ll never be owed ever again that’s the only way I can look at it as long as I’m paying something I’m a day closer to being debt free.

Finally got some washing on the line the weather is really nice today after all the cold and rain, I’ve decided I won’t be getting another tumble dryer again as we have managed really well without one.

I’ve measured the carpet up and if I put vinyl or similar on the vertical part of the stairs I can also use the carpet for the stairs and small landing at the top so now I just need carpet for the two bedrooms, I keep looking out for some eventually I’ll get it.
