You are doing great and the batch cooking is so organised, as are the NSD's.. Try to sort your work boots as you shouldn't damage your feet. And if you have to buy them, you should perhaps be looking at getting a tax rebate as they are work clothing that you have to purchase. Not sure that you will be able to avoid that joint and several liability loan that the ex took out though. At least you can get some of the smaller debts paid off before you have to tackle that one.

  • Thank you for the reply, I know I think at some point I’m going to get stung with it but for now I’m not stirring a hornets nest up and wait and see what happens with that one. I’ll look into the rebate didn’t know that was a possibility so definitely worth looking into thank you for the advice.

So I’ve been looking through all the clothes I’ve sorted out and thinking I might make some patchwork cushions from them as my room has t really got a colour scheme as such so some nice multi coloured pillows for my bed would be lovely

  • Day 8 NSD’s

I’ve just made a months worth of sandwiches and froze them so now I have no excuse not to take lunch to work, this is one area I’ve always been pretty good at and to be honest I’m pretty boring when it comes to fillings so I usually take ham or cheese which most people would be bored of pretty quickly.

Catching up on the washing and cleaned the car out so been pretty busy this morning just getting organised. I’ve also started my patchwork pillows it brings back memories of my late mum and her teaching me to make them. I have some material from mum which will go into them so a nice memory to treasure there.

Also plans for this year are to make innocent smoothie hats for the winter as I’ve not made any in a while but have loads of oddments of will to get at least a hundred done.

I’ve joined the rationing for fashion challenge and I look forward to starting that but at the moment I think I’ll be spending very few coupons just on new work boots and maybe some socks, I have hinted for socks for Christmas but we’ll see I love socks for Christmas when most people think that’s a boring present.

Well not much else going on at the moment as I start work at 2pm so I’ll be pottering about until then.

  • I now have something major to work for, DD has been offered a team leader position once she’s 18 at work and she said she wants us to buy this house we are in, we will be able to afford it between us just I need to a) pay all my debt off and b) improve my credit rating plus get a large deposit sorted out. I admit it kind of scares me that it will be me that let’s all this down but I have an end goal now to work for. Am I being too optimistic? I’m not sure but time will tell

Not a lot going on today I’ve just made my online order for over Christmas spent £60 so not bad to be honest and that included a couple of bottles of drink. So that’s all organised now and I’ve spent a lot less than normal.

I’ve finally got back into reading again as I do love reading but it seems to be a thing I either do a lot or never so now I’m going to dedicate half an hour before I go to sleep to read some of a book. I’m reading a thriller I do love thriller books but weirdly not keen on the thriller films. I’m a strange breed lol. Well time to start work

Wishful, I too love thriller books, but hate thriller films! In the books I can make it as scary as I want, or even skip pages, where in the films I have to join someone else's twisted mind.....

It's a very generous offer by your daughter. Have you done a proper spreadsheet with her, adding taxes, maintenance costs, replacement costs, time needed for upkeep? Even if it is your daughter (or maybe: because she is your daughter) make sure you have a very thorough contract in place if you do decide to buy the house together.

  • Siebrie we haven’t even got that far yet I’ll look at the logistics of buying together once I have paid my debt off so it’s maybe a year or two off yet.

I thought it was just me with thrillers lol I hate the films but love the books it’s strange how our minds work and I’m the same I’ve skipped many a page. Have you read Linwood Barclays books they are really good.

  • Day 10 NSD’s

Had a call from CMS and apparently DD’s dad now wants a DNA test, she’s 17 and this is getting ridiculous he is doing everything in his power to delay payments and I told them this but as per usual I was being rude apparently and had the phone put down. I’m now waiting for the elections to be over and I’m getting in touch with my MP as they have done so much wrong on this case, me and DD have agreed to the DNA test now waiting for him to pay the £20 for it and she’s happy to give one. She’s getting annoyed he’s putting her through this and has said it’s pathetic. She said last night not only has he never even bothered with her he now has to put her through unnecessary things, I do feel sorry for her as she wanted a relationship with him a few years ago and contacted him through Facebook to hit basically a brick wall it’s so unfair that he just doesn’t care about her I’ve also tried over the years but he’s always blocked any sort of contact. Oh well she’s better off without him and she’s such a lovely young lady he will never see the beautiful woman she is becoming, it’s his loss.

So that’s the horrible stuff ATM but on the bright side I got £10 extra from pips yesterday as I get that for my mental health condition so that was a nice bonus :).

Off to make breakfast and chill for a bit

  • Day 11 NSD’s

I picked up my prescription but that’s classed as essential so still classing it as a NSD.

Need to work out my meal plan for the next week later I’ve done really well and stuck to it last week and if I can do it one week I can continue now. It’s been hard as I’m so used to popping to the shop and getting bits and bobs but I’m trying hard to break that habit. The more NSD’s I manage the more I’ll stay on budget.

I break up for Christmas on the 20th so I’m looking forward to a nice rest and lots of time with DD,

My cupboards are looking a lot emptier and more organised for the first time in ages. I’ve used loads of porridge, bottles of pop and tomatoes so they’re slowly going down. Once I’ve got the stock pile down I’ll start to shop for the week better so I’m not constantly trying to see what I have.
