Thanks Wishful. Great bargains from the market. I can see that I need to do more batch cooking and eat meals 2 nights in a row. I've got a bit stuck in the routine of thinking I have to buy something different for every night of the week. I do freeze leftovers but often forget they are there. Lots of food for thought if you'll excuse the pun.0

I know what you mean blackcats it took me ages to get my head around organising my food better. I used to spend about £50-£60 a week and I’ve slowly got it down to £30 some weeks is higher and other weeks lower. I never throw left overs even my peelings are used up I scrub my vegetables first then they are frozen and used in soup when I have enough to make a good amount, DD calls it free soup lol.
I’ve been juggling the budget (as you do) and I can afford to pay off the two smallest debt this month :j so that’ll be three debts down. I’m going to ring the smallest tomorrow as I want to make sure I have the right figures as I don’t want to over pay and it’s a pain that they don’t show it on their website but that’ll be a job for tomorrow the other one I’ll be paid on the 22ndFashion world £165.82 Paid December 2019 :j Zinc £81.23/£71.23

Finally bought my steel toe cap trainers today so no more sore feet at work.
Paid zinc off so that debt two gone :j so glad that ones gone and I’m sticking to my plan.
Today I need to do a tip run and get rid of some bits and bobs I’ve cleared out. DD is off out with friends today so I’ve decided I’m going to tackle her bedroom and give it a good sort out and clean (it’s driving me mad) and I’m in the mood for a tidy up of somewhere.
I’ve got a load of vegetable peelings in the freezer so vegetable soup for the weekend this weekend and I’m going to make jack monroes marmite bread to dip in it.Fashion world £165.82 Paid December 2019 :j Zinc £81.23/£71.23

Well done on paying off Zinc. The snowball effect will start to benefit you now that a couple of debts are crossed off the list. It also feels easier to manage with less companies to pay. Have you got ok interest rates on the remaining debts?0
-
Hi blackcats I know it’ll a soon reduce now, the only one I had interest with was fashion world that’s why I cleared that fast, the rest is all interest free luckily so everything I pay is paying it all off the amount.Fashion world £165.82 Paid December 2019 :j Zinc £81.23/£71.23

Well today I was so happy I managed to get a free lamp off Facebook and it matches my living room perfectly, once I took the Christmas tree down I was missing the nice softer lighting but now I’ve got it back.
We are off to a National trust house soon to see the Christmas lights as they get taken down tomorrow so packed a lunch and coffee is ready in the thermos flask.
I’ve finally used up all the instant coffee but I have a load of coffee beans to use so that’ll be used until they run out now.
I keep looking for carpet for the house but no one seems to be giving any away for free at the moment but I did find a website that sells roll ends so I’ve worked out the living room will cost about £150 so that’ll be my next plan, I have budgeted for it this year as well as my debt. Hopefully something will come up.Fashion world £165.82 Paid December 2019 :j Zinc £81.23/£71.23

Well done on clearing debts. You're doing great. Your day out sounds lovely too.
I have a new flooring pot too. The lounge carpet and underlay was cheap when I bought it (best I could afford at the time) and since then it's had 6.5 years of abuse. Don't forget to budget for good underlay. When I did the stairs and landing I had good carpet and underlay and it's standing up great.0 -
Hi fran we had a lovely day today, we had to have a car picnic as it was cold but the house was beautiful. Thanks for the tip about underlay will definitely look into that.Fashion world £165.82 Paid December 2019 :j Zinc £81.23/£71.23

Well had a very busy few days helped my friend move house. Apart from that not much else happening, works back in full swing again and I’m getting there with the tiredness but it’ll soon be the weekend again.
I found some old wool so I’m planning on making some sock style slippers once I decide on a pattern, it’s been ages since I knitted anything. It will give me a first project of the year, I’m planning on a jumper at some point too.Fashion world £165.82 Paid December 2019 :j Zinc £81.23/£71.23
