They are used to a 4k resolution and i doubt 15 extra inches will make a huge difference to what they are used to.
Its not like they went from a 42" to a 70" is it

A 70" screen is over 60% larger than a 55" screen. That's pretty significant in my book!

    UPDATE
Just to clear a few things up. Yes I did say I was not technical, but in all fairness to myself that’s not strictly correct.
I am very technical when it comes to computers e.g.,computer programming/fixing computers.
I done my research on this specific tv, as I have with all my TVs and have never had any problems until now.
I did not just think big tv I will have that one,so it is not a case of buyers remorse.
Obviously I am watching the tv in 4K
Now that’s cleared up,here is the update.
I done a lot of research on my consumer rights.
I spent an hour and half on the telephone with them Monday.
They repeated what they had previously said if tv has been switched on than no return. With that I stated under the consumers rights I can return the tv regardless if it has been turned on or not,the tv is not of satisfactory quality.
Long story short I eventually was able to speak to a manager I repeated my consumer rights etc and the manager agreed with me saying that is correct.
They have refunded the delivery cost and no deduction costs.
    The tv was collected yesterday.
I took pictures of tv etc to cover myself, just incase after all this I want to make sure I have everything covered.
I do believe if I had not been persistent etc I would have been unable to return tv. So thank you everyone for your advice.
I am just glad I was able to resolve this with a happy outcome.

Not sure what tv I am going to get now.
But as our lounge is huge and we are not restricted to where furniture is placed all I know is it is not going to be smaller than a 75inch.

    Glad you got it sorted.

Assume that you were not watching BBC, ITV etc even Sky the only 4K is the high def in 4K. As that is only available via a few streaming services.
