I agree with a number of the others, anything other than a native 4K source will look worse on a 70" TV than a 55" at the same viewing distance. Saying that I don't think that's your problem. I'd recommend disabling any image processing features on the TV (things like noise reduction for example) and playing around with the motion settings. Does your TV have a game mode? If it does enable that and see if the problem goes away. If it does it's almost certainly the motion settings.

Saying that you can return the TV. However you may well have to pay the return postage costs (which would be huge on such a big TV) and they're entitled to deduct some money.

But is it being pumped into the ops telly ???

The problem / symptoms they describe sounds very much like it isn't.
Was it really "everybody" that was Kung Fu fighting ???

They are used to a 4k resolution and i doubt 15 extra inches will make a huge difference to what they are used to.
Its not like they went from a 42" to a 70" is it

OP doesn't seem technically minded lol, how did you come to that assumption?

Yes, but just because you can find 4k sources to stick into your telly doesn't mean that's all you're going to watch on your 4k tv, or that the OP was using a 4k source. I think it's fair to say that most of what people are watching isn't 4k.

Surely they would want to watch something in 4k on a new 4k tv? If you bought a 4k tv would something in 4k be one of the first things you would watch lol.
I doubt anyone watches 4k content all the time but at least it lets you see the quality of the tv.
If the OP comes back and has tried a 4k input ill stick to my opinion, if they are still watching old VHS tapes or an SD input i will admit i was wrong.

Thats your choice to have a small tv just like people prefer small cars to larger ones.
I guess it depends what you consider a large room.
47” is considered a small TV nowadays? Man, I’m getting old and behind the times!
