Welcome. You should set goals as you feel. I aim to finish items in my Project Pan list so choose items that can be foreseeably finished in a month.

Makeup items are a different matter. I do still try to finish those items in a three month period but realise I should be more realistic. I think the only makeup item that I can finish in that window is a lipgloss. Anything else can take up to a year.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

BeautyPie Super Healthy Hair Shampoo, Conditioner and Repair Treatment.

I use these and totally love them. I have highlights and my hair is on the dry side and they definitely help with the condition.

@ssteve19 - I do use Beauty Pie SPF. It is the only SPF that doesn't break me out and so light and goes so well with make up, I won't replace it. It is not necessarily very accessible though..

Panning means to hit pan really, you know the little speck of silver you see when you've been using a powder product for ages but generally a project pan is a list of products you know you will finish in a set amount of time. As for the 7 by Spring we do it just to get good use out of products and it really makes you realise how long things take to use which in turn makes you think about buying more.

Welcome MUM40. I think some people in the past have combined cleaning products in with this challenge and candles too.

I don't think I will finish anything else this month now. I have ended on 8 uu's and 4 ins with a total spend of £7.75.

Not sure how many Forumites use Instagram but I've set up a hashtag #nobuyingunecessarytoiletriesJanuary2020 to record progress I find it frustrating that we can't post photos on here. If anyone wants to follow me on there, feel free. So far I've posted a photo of my PP list for January. I will post the list itself on the new thread.

Otherwise, I will wish you all Happy New Year. I intend to make an inventory too and post that.
