My sister couldn’t come to us for Christmas Day as she has had the flu. She has visited us today though and one of my gifts is a L’Occitane tin containing mini soap, shower gel, hand balm and foot balm. Cute sizes ideal for travel.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

One out cien face wipes, will repurchase once I get through stocks.

Should have another couple of empties to report next week. Back to work tomorrow so back to wearing makeup daily and using the year old molten brown hand cream on my desk. I’m down to the last fifth and want to see it gone, lovely scent but not up to much as a hand cream. Def wouldn’t rebuy.

Identified 3 to use up for spring will update on the other 4 once decided

    - molten brown rhubarb hand lotion
    - L’Or!al lipstick juliannes nude
    - too faced better than sex mascara mini

Continuing with the naked heat palette til the end of Jan, only hit pan on one shade.

7 Elemis minis from a Xmas gift set I treated myself to in a pre-Crimbo sale. This will let me try the whole routine when added to other bits in the stash and so will let me see if I want to go down the Elemis routes.
1 Vera Wang perfume I was given as a Xmas pressy. No idea what it smells like as I suspect its a regifted raffle prize.

Out: 1 BS British Rose set, BS Strawberry bar soap and an Italian Lemon and Bergamot bar soap stash reused as stocking filler gifts.

Been trying the L'Oc Festive whipped 5% shea handcream. Nice scent but really don't like the texture. It's stiff like the higher proportion shea's of theirs but not as creamy and takes longer to rub in than it should as a result.

Now to try and recover my skin after a stay in the parental far too hot house with almost no sleep from the far too soft bed murdering my spine.

The only constant Elemis products that are HG for me are ProCollagen Marine Cream and the Balancing Lime Blossom Cleanser. I can now find these items cheaper than retail. The cleanser is talked of on QVC as a basic cleanser as opposed to all the balms etc that they sell as well but for me it really works at keeping oil at bay. If you find that there is a certain product that becomes your HG, check out Fragrance Direct site for savings.

I wasn't planning to use this up in one go but I started using it and was not a fan of the scent it felt really synthetic to me, so decided to use it all over my body and now it's gone. WNB

Cancelled my Birchbox subscription today so that will just leave me with the one look fantastic which I am tied to for another 7 months. I do enjoy them though so happy to reduce to just the one as a compromise to myself. Was using my hand cream in work, though when I saw it again today I think I underestimated how much was left in it. More like a solid fourth instead of a fifth.

I think that this is a brilliant idea, and have been following this for a number of months, and have started to use up 1/2 empty containers of items, and not buying anything new unless it’s not in my stash.
Haven’t counted what I have, but know I have at least 14 bottles of shampoo.

Is there a “No Buying Cleaning Products until Necessary” as think this my be a good idea.

    Two UUs today:

SVR Sebiaclear SPF50+ Creme 50ml WDBA in the future, but I'm going to look for a more accessible SPF in the next few months. Will order some more of this to help me get through a patch test period of a new one. Any recommendations for a no white cast, light and dimethicone free face SPF would be very much appreciated :)

Colgate Plax Cool Mint Mouthwash 500ml WDBA and will do. Great mouthwash, a nice fresh feeling.

And I'll post this UU now as I will finish it tonight, and save me posting it later:

Oral B Satin Tape 25m WDBA and will do. Cheap and effective.

Bit of a splurge considering I couldn't smell or see it in the flesh before ordering, and that I never really spend a lot of money on hair products - I normally just buy what's on offer.
I used to bleach my hair white when a student and it damaged it to no end (I have naturally near black-coloured hair). Although the condition of my hair did improve massively, the past couple of years I've neglected it and it's the one major hang-up I have about my appearance.
So this coming year I'm going to try to take care of it more, and in turn I hope it will make me feel better and more confident.
