No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries December 2019

A few ins today but only a couple that I want to add to my stash. A couple of cheap and cheerful smellies will be going to charity.


Daughter bought me a Bodyshop British rose set that I will keep and use-I like it. There is a butter in it but it's small so I will try to use it before it goes off.

I got a few bottles of wine from friends at work and a lovely bee brooch. Emma got me a gorgeous pair of slippers too.

Colourpop Supershock shadow Birthday Cake - used a few times. Pan does not appear to be expanding!

MAC Dare You lipstick in constant use.

NARS Gilda and Outlaw blushers. Still ongoing (as ever).

Goal is to finish the Rich Girl and Gilded Gold eyeshadows as they have sizeable pan, hit pan in the two blushers (this has got to be achievable surely as I’ve been using them for 10 months already) and to keep the bronzer and lipstick in rotation. I want to weigh the lipstick to see how far i’ve Come with it. The bronzer has probably been used once or twice. The two face powers that I have panned from this palette took 6 months each so maybe it’s achievable.

UU John Frida Frizz Ease min shampoo. Was started a couple of days ago by Emma and I finished it today. Emma has a lot more hair than me. I have another mini I think by Gilchrist & Siamese and a full sized Hask that i’ve Put in the bathroom.

My By Christmas challenge didn’t go great but at least some progress was made:

Soap & Glory lipgloss - only use this on weekends occasionally, it’s getting on now but still seems ok, will roll over

Elf rose gold liquid eye shadow - use regularly now and happy to use up at this rate, will remove from PP list

Loreal silver liquid eye shadow - not used! And yet I still feel the need to give myself another chance to over the holiday period so will roll over!

Neals Yard Wild Rose Beauty Balm - feels time consuming to use and you don’t need a lot, but I love it so must.use.more. Will roll over.

Neals Yard Calendula cleanser - holes in packaging worried it will expire - only has a couple of uses left I think, will use when can’t be bothered to use above!

Hit pan on 4 least used eyeshadows in palette - experimented with these but I know I will never hit pan and I’m fine with that, removing from PP list

Loreal lipgloss - the only thing I UU’d!!


Had my fingers crossed that I would not receive any toiletries as gifts, we did receive one though: Nivea 5 piece body set. I’m not going to count this as IN because my OH will likely use most of it.

Managed to avoid the Nars softcore blush and balm set I had my eye on at the Boxing Day sales today, mainly because there was only one shade left and I wasn’t sure if it was right for me but the counter was unstaffed, and the lip balm was particularly tiny. Probably won’t get to a Nars counter until the new year so if I see it online reduced further I might take a cheeky chance!

40ml Sure Invisible Deo/AP 6/88 I have started the last one from stash, so will need to buy in a while.

Really pleased not to have any toiletries gifts, but I have ordered myself a set of 4 Alpha-H serums which have been on my wish list for a while, really good price from QVC, all 4 for the price of 1 from Cult Beauty. Also pondering placing an order for some Goat's milk products, an intro set is a fantastic price, but they (unusually for sets) are offering a 25% discount on top.

I have started a file of all the suppliers I use, as soon as I have completed it I will unsubscribe from all e-mails, as I know I will have enough of all skincare for 2020:o

Will need to buy at some stage, Deo, toothpaste, shampoo, dry shampoo and spf. I have plenty of conditioner and styling products (unless I change my hairstyle), I will keep Beauty Pie sub going and hopefully have a re-stock in the Autumn as I have some HGs with them.
