    Hi all,
    #111
just reporting in to give the final figures for Jan which were £5574.62

Feb so far £9094.36 (will make a further smaller payment after payday next week)

It wouldn't have been so high for the last two months but ended up shuffling round all of OH savings accounts to better interest rates but as they are still lower than the mortgage it seemed silly not to use it for that in part instead, so those figures now account for OHs share of the final figures paid, so it's just me now letting the side down - balance outstanding as of today is around £12900.

    12 more paydays to go......

Hi no 7 here. We've managed to overpay £350 in Feb :) can my overpayment for Jan also be updated to £708? March will probably be a slower month for overpayments as we've got the house insurance, car insurance and car MOT coming up in the space of a couple of weeks  :'(

    Number 16 here.
This is very exciting - I've just phoned for a final statement for our mortgage and sent a chunk through to avoid paying interest of 6p a day on most of the balance!
So my February OPs come to £325.51 and I owe £69.35 plus (now less than) 6p a day on my mortgage. :)

I was wondering if anyone else (it was Shangiijimmy's idea!) is planning an extra OP on 29th Feb as it only happens once every four years?

My thoughts - I will have 29 more payments to go on the term of my mortgage on 29th so maybe for me it should be 29 x 29 x 5 (the 5 is the number of 29ths of Feb this century, and there won't be another one in the term of our mortgage) - so 4205 either pennies or pounds.

I also have the letter in response to our latest payment, saying my interest is now 15.50 a month - so £449.50 if I multiply that by 29.

    Don't laugh!  #65 reporting in.
I have just made February's o/p to the new mortgage,  it was £1.34 because my current account ended in £1.34 and it looked messy, and I realised the new  remortgage balance ended in - you guessed it! £1.34, so I 'tested' the new account number I was given, with my small o/p and it has reduced already!! No payment will taken in March, so we have a month with no mortgage going out.  Might be able to sneak another payment in, but we are on strike pay at the moment and income is reduced by 1/3.  Boo!
