  • Hi Julicorn, #153 with an overpayment of £3,500 in December please. Thanks so much for running this spreadsheet.

    I didn't quite hit my £10k OP target for 2020, which I set back in July, but I'm very happy that I got so close with £8k and I'm so glad I started this challenge.

    Mortgage free as of March '25!
    £240,000 paid off in 4 years, 8 months and 18 days (July '20-Mar '25)
    Mortgage paid off 19 years early.

    Pay off mortgage of £55k for good! - £55k/£55k paid - mortgage free!!!
    Keep emergency fund at £10k - £10k/£10k - goal met!
    Lose 12 kgs - 3/12 kgs lost so far
    Try 1 new activity/experience as a family each month - 0/12 new activities/experiences tried
    Decluttering - declutter 500 items from house and outbuildings - 136/500 items so far

    #49 checking in with my eighth and ninth overpayments of the year:
    £150 for November and £150 for December.
    Stats: Jan: £150/Feb: £150/Mar: £150/Jul: £150/Aug: £150/Sept: £150/Oct: £150/Nov: £150/Dec: £150
    Unfortunately, this will probably be my last overpayments for the year...let's hope 2021 will be better.

  • #61 paid off £90.68 in December. This take us to our maximum over payment this year....if my calculations are correct.
    we have made amazing progress but that’s due to incredible hard work, missing out on holidays and celebrations due to Covid. On positive note our garden is finished and we’ve got some decorating done. I’ve signed up for next year but our 10% allowed is only 6400 and I’ve got 2000 ready to go in jan. focus will be on building savings as will use them to get new to us car in Feb and having some fun. All the best for 2021 and see you on next challenge.
