It's been a crazy work week! ๐Ÿ™ˆ I've done very little house wise although I have done a store cupboard inventory and reorganised and cleaned the cupboards in the process which is a job I'd been putting off for some time so I'm pleased with that. The weather has been horrendous so the garden needs a proper tidy up at the weekend- alledgedly the weather should be okay to do it ๐Ÿ˜‰ย
I've had a quick look at the finances, although we've still got plenty to pay out for this year, we should still be able to cover everything without using credit so I'm happy with that ๐Ÿ˜Šย
I'm really tired at the moment but I need to get some cleaning done - I've started to feel unsettled again which always happens when the place isn't as clean as I like it - once it's done today I'm not letting it slide again and I'm going to tell the kids that they need to start pullingย  their weight - I'm fed up of having to do everything while they are just happy to let me get on with it ๐Ÿ˜  as adults I shouldn't have to tell them but they are terminally lazy ๐Ÿ˜” really looking forward to them getting their own place - although I love them dearly, it's becoming increasingly stressful living with them ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I also get kinda unsettled when things are a bit messy or cluttered. It's like low-level additional stress. I'm sure my Mum would laugh if she heard that as I was a bit of a messy teenย  :Dย
    Choose kind:)

Well done on sorting the cupboards and getting organised, hope your cleaning went well and nobody has destroyed your efforts.ย
Nice to know that you don't need to go to credit to pay for things this year. So nice to feel in control isn't it.ย

  • Thanks everyone! ๐Ÿ˜Š happy to report that the house is clean and the garden sorted!! ๐Ÿ™Œ It's been a really busy weekend but worth the effort - I feel a lot more calm and settled now ๐Ÿ˜‰ I'm glad to hear it's not just me that gets 'jumpy' when things are messy ๐Ÿ˜‚ I think part of it for me is that when we were doing the renovations, it was just unbelievable chaos that we lived in for the best part of a year and another six months of things not being right following that ๐Ÿ™ˆIt was such a long period of time and because of the court case during it, it added to the feeling of being out of control.ย  I've been a control freak all my adult life so it was incredibly stressful for me - I think it's made me worse! ๐Ÿ˜‚ย
Anyway, now the equilibrium has been restored, I'm a happy squirrelgirl ๐Ÿ˜‰ I've got my grandbaby tonight - we're getting back into me having him once a week overnight which I'm absolutely thrilled about! ๐Ÿ˜- but it does mean that I have to think about what to feed him again! We've been eating salads mainly as I've got so much lettuce in the garden - I can't see him being quite as keen on a lettuce mountain as I am though so will have to sort something else today!ย
Housewise, I'm still waiting on the quote for the flat roof ๐Ÿ˜• it's been a week since he came out and he told me Friday he's awaiting some quotes on materials - if I haven't heard by Wednesday, I'm finding someone else- I can't believe how difficult this is proving to be! There are a couple of flat roof companies I could go to but I'm trying to provide work for locals - just wish they actually wanted to do the jobs! ๐Ÿ˜‚ย

Glad you got everything in order and feel better for it.ย
My little ones like salmon cakes (cooked salmon, onion, mash and lemon zest made into cake shapes and cooked) which you could have with salad but also do veg for the little one maybe. They freeze quite well 2 and then can just be heated up in a frying pan which makes it a bit easier.ย
    Mortgage Aug 2019 161,000 :eek::eek::eek:Nov 2019 156,500:T Jan 2020 153,122:T, Apr 2020 149,500, Apr2021 139, 675, Oct 2021 136,823, Dec 2021 136,120๐Ÿ™‚EF 0/12,000 (0%)๐Ÿ˜• (5062.44 was ERC), Jan 2023 128,650.   • Thanks for the idea lwtg but he eats a vegan diet at mine ๐Ÿ˜‰ as it turned out, he had lasagne with a cucumber and red pepper salad so all was good ๐Ÿ˜Š
I'm shattered today - he slept beautifully but I had about 3 hours! ๐Ÿ™ˆ I've got a major headache coming on so might have an afternoon snooze! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย
The house has been cleaned again since I took my grandbaby home this morning so it no longer looks like a bombsite (how one small person can create such chaos never ceases to amaze me! ๐Ÿ˜‚) so other than paid stuff, my day is my own now ๐Ÿ˜Šย
Still haven't heard back from the flat roof guy - if I've heard nothing by close of play tomorrow, I'm getting someone else out ๐Ÿ™ˆ it's really difficult to sort my money when I don't know what the cost will be and I'm starting to think he's going to be unreliable anyway - oh the joys of relying on other people never ends - I'll be glad when this is all over and I don't need to deal with any more workmen!!ย
  • Still nothing from the flat roof bloke so I'm arranging someone else tomorrow- didn't get round to it last week as the headache turned into a migraine which then became a couple of days of feeling like poo ๐Ÿ™ˆ however, fighting fit again now so all is well! ๐Ÿ˜Šย
House is clean, bills are paid, I've ordered more oil to make sure that it sees us through the winter, food cupboards are well stocked and I have plenty of toiletries and cleaning products. All is well on the home front! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย
The kids are no further forward on their house but we're hopeful that a valuation can be done this week so that they can instruct solicitors- fingers crossed it will be a swift process once it starts but it's looking like it will be early winter before they can move on - we're all hoping it will be sooner though! ๐Ÿ™ˆย
Once they have gone I'm re-employing my dd as my cleaner! ๐Ÿ™Œ she could do with the money and I could do with having a constantly clean house - dailies aren't an issue but I can't be bothered spending lots of my time on things like windows, door frames, skirting boards etc - I'd much rather put some money her way and relieve myself of feeling obliged to do that stuff! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I love a clean house but hate cleaning! ๐Ÿ˜‰ It's a win-win!!ย
Garden veg is coming on nicely - we've got one green and 2 yellow courgettes to cut today along with loads of rainbow chard ๐Ÿ˜Š I found the beginnings of a baby tomato growing this morning and was ecstatic!! ๐Ÿ˜‚ It's dead easy to make me happy!!ย
Anyway, I shall get the dehydrator on later and do the chard, I think that I'll pop one of the courgettes and an onion in too and I'm going to bloom some wild rice ๐Ÿ˜Šย
