this the last chance to pay off the debt

It is only a debt if a judge says it is. Until that time it is an invoice from an ex- clamper for damages for the harm they allege they suffered when you did what you did. We call it a scam. Pay them not one penny unless a judge so orders it. and, from what you have told us, that would be highly unlikely as that £60 they have added on could be an own goal, read this,

ANPR does not show drivers, just number plates

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP after the election, or to all likely candidates now, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and often, if they know an MP is in the loop, they will cancel the charge..

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

None of the people reading this forum will be 'paying off' a fake PPC 'debt' so forget that for a game of soldiers and get reading.

We WIN these cases and we (and newbies with no experience) enjoy winning them!

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for all the moral support! I guess I will see this through to the end then.

About the case - I didn't even know about these kind of parking systems until I got this notice! So it is down to ignorance and me not paying attention and taking a chance in the car park for 5 mins whilst I popped to a shop. It is a car park next to another council car park which I think is free with one of those number plate key pad pay and display machines. Not much more I can add really unless I lay it on thick as I think at the time my pregnant wife was in hospital with pregnancy issues and she needed some supplies for her stay.

I will crack on sending a SAR to Bank Park and telling DCB Legal of the fact.

Thanks everyone will keep you updated as much as I can.

Preferably use a laptop or desktop pc , NOT a phone

A tablet can be used , but any problems or of work to do , use a laptop or desktop

If you were using a phone , information is missing , a phone does NOT give you full internet access , but a redacted experience with missing details

Try reading adverts on eBay with specifications listed , a laptop allows everything to be seen , whereas a phone can give only half the information listed

Your defence should include things like,
Not the landowner
No standing (contract) to issue charges or start court
Inadequate signage
Lack of grace periods
No planning permission for ANPR scameras
No advertising consent for signs (a criminal offence)
Anything else relevant.

Have a look at other court threads. There are loads concerning VCS at the moment but any court thread will do.

Contact the council planning department about the planning and advertising consent issues.

What happened when the keeper complained to the landowner/store manger?
I married my cousin. I had to...
I don't have a sister. :D
All my screwdrivers are cordless.

OK I have sent my SAR with a front page copy of my V5 and also sent DCB Legal an email stating the fact that I have sent that SAR.

Just a quick question on timings and next steps:

Am I correct in thinking that I need to wait for the court letter to submit my AoS and defence or is something waiting for me now on MCOL?? I couldn't quite work it out or maybe I have brain overload!
