Lack of Viewings - house sale

I think it is due to the development of new 4 bed detached houses that have help to buy. These new houses are also cheaper.0

It is a bit unmemorable. The front and back gardens could do with some livening up, even though it's winter.
Apparently lots of people look online on Boxing Day for houses (and that'll be after the election, and hopefully we might have some idea about Brexit) so I wouldn't take it off the market completely.
I suspect it comes down to price and competition though.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Sorry it was a typo I meant £280,0000

There isn't a front garden, just a load of concrete.Owain_Moneysaver wrote: »It is a bit unmemorable. The front and back gardens could do with some livening up, even though it's winter.
Oh, and some gravel.
I'm sure it could be softened up a bit.
As already mentioned, the open-plan staircase in the living room seems a bit odd for the size of house - never feels cosy to me or great for privacy / noise etc. Nothing the OP can really do about it but it would put me off.
What's going on with the Rightmove description and the list of rooms? Were those meant to have measurements or other descriptions added?0 -

How many people does the EA have on it's books looking for a property in this price range currently. That'll provide an indication as to how quiet or busy the market currently is in the locality.
Rightmove hits means very little. Putting the link on MSE will distort the figures totally!0 -
I couldn't stand being overlooked so the fact you have taken those trees down in the back garden will rule it out for me. Not sure where you think you have added any value.0

I disagree with most comments about the house looking soul-less. People know exactly what they want in a house. Whether it has furniture in the pictures or not. Same goes for the garden/front space.0

you need to be careful when selling a property that you only owned for a short time and TBH the photos from previous sale are pretty similar....in this sort of situation it almost looks as if you have inflated the price of the house in order to cover your fees and moving costs.
sorry I have no idea of the area but would guess that prices are not increasing at the rate you would like in order to sell at a profit
Chances are it has decreased by about 20k IMO, and as there is no shortage of similar properties to buy potential buyers don`t really need to be in too much of a hurry, especially as we are maybe or maybe not going out of the EU without a deal?0 -

I agree that the garden was much nicer with the trees at the end. But whoever buys can replace them.
I don’t know about adding value. £10k in £290k is neither here nor there. It’s certainly not going to put off potential buyers. Perhaps prices are up by that much generally? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
