Happy bank holiday Monday! I hope you’ve all had a lovely day in the sunshine. I’ve had a bit too much time in the sunshine I think - my back is very pink
whoops! I forgot to put suncream on there. Silly me!
I saw OH todayWe were sat by a lake the whole time, 2 metres apart. It was obviously so nice to see him, but also really hard. I just wanted to cuddle him! I hope we are allowed to soon
Back to work tomorrow already! I’ve had quite a few people interested in placing an order with my side job so hopefully they’ll come through!x

Work was meh buttttt my flat is officially on the market and I already have a viewing booked in! They’re coming tomorrow at 6pm. How exciting!1

The potential buyer apparently loved my flat, but on reflection said the service charge & ground rent was too expensive for him. I feel a bit deflated because he’s right, it is expensive, and I think it’s going to take a while to sell it for that reason. The size of the flat is good, the interior decor is really nice and “rentable”, so it’s a shame that something out of my control is likely to make this process painful
We are only on day 3 of it going on the market though so I need to stop being so neg lol.
Work is finished for the week! And I’ve got one confirmed order from someone for my little side business!I used to work with her so we had a nice little catch up on the phone. She’s a lovely lady. Someone else has placed an order but she’s yet to give me her payment details so I can’t put it through yet. My kit of products arrived yesterday so my girls have been smelling the body & bath stuff and trying to eat them

Work is finished for the week! My boss tried to tell me this morning that he had a conversation with a family member last night & said how work was frustrating but at least the company is profitable and how great it is to work for a firm like that in these strange times. I’m sure he was saying it for my benefitI felt like saying, no need to say that because I know they’re profitable, but it doesn’t change my feelings on the place! I think the way they treat some of their employees is terrible.
Anyway, I’ve got one confirmed order from someone for my little side business!I used to work with her so we had a nice little catch up on the phone. She’s a lovely lady. Yeh I really wish I had thought it through when I bought it 3 years ago! Unfortunately at the time I was in a desperate situation having separated from the children’s father, and it seemed like the better option given my budget was low. Hopefully someone will want it soon
I ended up putting 3 orders through the system last nightone of them was for me though! I ordered a birthday gift as a close friend wanted something but couldn’t afford it, so me & 2 others are splitting the cost, and then I ordered a little something for me. So I essentially spent my commission, but I don’t mind! I know that soon with some consistency & good online posts then the orders will increase. I’m finding it quite fun
Today I tried to teach both girls how to ride a bike without stabilisers. They both should be able to do it now, especially DD1, but they’ve been too scared to do it. Their dad came with us & I’m so glad he did because it was a bit of a nightmare. DD2 was grumpy the whole time and refused to do it. DD1 did well and was able to ride for a couple of seconds before stopping, however towards the end she was giving us attitude which I really dislike so we went home. I made them do school work for the rest of the afternoon...
Not much else to report really. My mum has just brought me some posh biscuits from the kitchen so I should eat them0 -
Quite often it's the best way for people to get on the ladder or if they are wanting to downsize. Hopefully once crisis has been averted a lot more of the first time buyers may come out the wood work as will be ideal time for them to buy with interest rates so low

Fingers crossed!
Another weekend almost over and I have Sunday night bluesI’m hoping a new job is offered soon. I really need to leave my current employers for my own sanity!!
DD1 can now officially ride her bike without stabilisers! My clever girl. DD2 is getting there bless her. They’re both at their dad’s now. After I dropped them off I went and saw a friend in her garden for an hour, & then met OH at the same spot as I did the other day. I treated us both to a cooler from Costa and it was lovely! We spoke about what sort of house we want when we come to buy a property together and I told him what my goals and ambitions are with my career
It was a really nice chat actually. I love discussing our future
A bit of money was spent today. Obviously the drinks from Costa, but I also ordered a Father’s Day gift. All my direct debits will be going out tomorrow so I can then update my mortgage and loan balances!! How exciting0 -
The direct debits have gone out so my new balances are as follows:
Loan: £4,480.77
Family Loan: £7,000.00
Mortgage: £82,529.08
Savings: £5,001.23
That loan is getting batteredI’ll be sending a lot of money to it soon!
I sent an e-mail to an agency this morning saying that I’m looking for work so fingers crossed something comes from it and I can leaveI’m keeping positive!

Well no potential buyers have come forward today but I’m still keeping positive that my luck will change soon. My mindset has done a 180 recently thanks to listening to some self-development audio books while I work, and I feel more confident in my ability to do certain things
The future feels exciting!
I submitted my meter reads on 31st May like I always do on the last day of the month, and for obvious reasons my bill was a lot less than normal. I have reduced my monthly direct debit amount. Only by £5 but it’s better than nothing!Tonight my mum did a bbq for us, my brother & his girlfriend and it was lovely. Steak, chips, wedges & salad, followed by chocolate naughtinessYummy!!!! And a glass of Pimms & lemonade, with some sliced orange & lemon, and a straw
Delicious. Sadly I think it’s our last nice sunny day for a while
hopefully the weather forecast is wrong! x
2 -
My hopes of the weather forecast being wrong were dashed this morning. Rain rain rain! To be fair it hasn’t rained in ages so we probably need it!
I’m not feeling well today (shark week... female readers will sympathise with me!) but I’m still cracking on with work. And I made my big overpayment to my loan at lunchtimeSo the new balance is £3,180.77 which makes me so happy! The interest rebate needs to come off that aswell so next week I should be able to see how much it’s reduced by.
It’s even more tempting now to use my savings to pay it off. The interest is so low though and I feel like I need to keep my savings at £5K so that I have 3 months wages. Hmmmmm!2
