A total of 7 coins for me since my last post a couple of weeks ago. They came from various sources. In my change from the Milkman, the Post Office and a few swaps with my son - he sells his eggs to the neighbours and received some for payment.
I think I am going to bank £150 now that leaves £2 in the pot.
Grumpyoldmoo - my thoughts and prayers are with you today. Pleased you and your brother are able to say your goodbyes properly.

Another 2 for me this last week - both from the corner shop whilst buying eggs to do some lovely baking!

    Good afternoon.
    I hope all are well.
I'm have collected half my target so far this year. Which I have banked.
I am going to change the parameters to my personal challenge - I am only going to collect the £2 coins that have pictures on. I know that this will reduce the amount that I collect.
    Wish me luck.

Wow GemGem, that's quite a change to your challenge.  I know how difficult the picture coins are to find.  Wishing you lots of luck :)  Will follow your progress with interest.

March total was 85 coins before lockdown occurred, most were plain, only had 1 St Pauls’s & 1 Richard Trevithick. Have been using my debit card since on the rare occasion I venture out.
My mum passed away Monday eve, 70 miles away in hosp, a victim of Covid19, she had underlying health conditions. So please everyone, stay safe
    Hello everyone,

Grumpyoldmoo, I was so sorry to read your news, but very glad to see that you and your brother were able to say goodbye. All my good wishes to you both and your family.

I hope all of you are able to keep well at this horrible time.

No coinage to report over here but it's because there's been no spending so not all bad! And thank you, I was fortunate enough to have another little win on Little Win Day! I adore Premium Bonds!

Keep up the good saving and stay well xxx

You are doing well on PBs CazzieLT - I'm still waiting for my 2nd ever win! - but I'm sure it's on its way  :) .  They keep me saving though - my EF is now up to £702 so happy with that.  Better to have something than nothing tucked away and, of course, a wee win on PB would be a very welcome bonus.  Maybe June draw?

Thank you! I've had an incredible run of luck - I've had little wins every month for the last eight months! I throw everything I can into Premium Bonds and won't hear a word against them! You hang in there for that second win! xxx

I used to have PB. With interest rates so poor have thought about reinvesting. Good luck to you both for next month.

  • Hi everyone
Condolences to you & your family Grumpyoldmoo.
I've had no £2 coins for months as I stopped using cash. However, the window cleaner turned up on Tuesday & I only had a twenty pound note & was delighted to get a £2 coin in my change! Safely potted.
I have one PB, I've had it for 40+ years & never won a thing:(  But agree worth putting money there when interests rates are non existent; wish I'd suggested to DD2 ....

One little one from the corner shop last night.  Plain but still safely potted.
