1 x £2 coin in hubby's change today. Alas, it was plain so it went back into the purse. Better luck next time.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

claremylove said:Amazingly, 5 coins this week. 3 plain (thank you hubby) and 2 from Mr T which were HMS Belfast and exceptionally shiny despite being 2015! So I've added the 3 plain ones to my total and that has allowed me to bank a further £60 into my EF (premium bonds). The 2 patterned ones are heading to my 'special' potA great idea - save up £2 coins and then swap them for PB,
Good luck for the next prize draw.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

I've had a good couple of weeks, hubby as well. 4 more plain coins from hubby added to my total. I've had some real success with MrT lately - a tiny win on the lottery reaped in a great fire of London and a William Shakespeare (the hollow crown) coin, whilst my corner shop (ran out of eggs) reaped in a Charles Dickens and a First World War coin. They've gone in my special pot which must be about £100 by now.
Will be back to paying by card on Tuesday when salary hits my bank account, so likely to have very few turn up unless hubby unearths any.
Still waiting on a PB win - but it's a good savings pot that I can't access in a hurry and I remain hopeful that one of my numbers will come up!£2 coin savings club 2025 #1 £166 (2024 £692; 2023 £754; 2022 £472; 2021 £256; 2020 £358; 2019 £512; 2018 £404; 2017 640)Saving for Xmas 202 £1 a day #4 £365 / £365 3-6 month emergency fund challenge #48 £10,030 Save a penny a day 2024 #32 £ . / £667.95 £1000 emergency fund challenge #232 £1,007/ £1,000 (achieved Nov 2020)1 -
This month I have managed to collect 12 coins in total (£24). At one point they all came at once courtesy of the milkman, local shop, lottery wins, children's change (swapped) and even customers buying eggs off us.£2 Savers Club 2024 #4 (£102/£300)

Hi all, its been ages since i posted (beginning of the year i think!) I decided not to open my £2 coin tin that i started last year, and just carry it on until it was full. I have made an effort to get £10 worth each week (I ask for £10 cashback in £2 coins), plus any odd extra ones that i may have had spare. My tin is now full, and i am going to attempt to open it next week! It will be interesting to see how much is in there! 18+ months of saving! At least Xmas will be sorted!£2 Saving Club 2024 #3 £12.002
