  • Hi everyone My £2 coins are in a terrimundi pot, it’s getting near full and very heavy! I’m not going to crack it open till it’s full so I can get no more in! It’s slow since lockdown 😢 I’m just wondering after reading here about picture coins, when I do crack it open wonder if I should be looking out for any special coins? I was thinking this pot when opened would be a nice treat for myself and OH weekend away possibly? Anyone know how much they hold ? Thanks everyone😀

Hello all. Long time no speak. What a funny few months it has been.

I have still been potting coins but no idea how many or when  :)

Think when I cash them I am going to bank 50% for me and then the other 50%  is going to a local wildlife centre who are really struggling for funds during these times. I really hope they survive as it's one of my favourite little places to spend a bit of time

Hope everyone has managed to stay safe and well

Regarding the coins - if you google £2 coin rarity you will which ones you may want to keep hold of. I don't know if anyone has sold any of the rate coins on eBay. I once went to an antique fair an there was a stall selling £2 coins at more then their face value.
Some pots can hold £1k with of £2 coins.
    Good luck.

Giving 50% to a wildlife fund is a very nice thing to do. A lovely investment if the place is special to you.
