I got mine from poundstretcher. It depends on the design some were £1 and some were 79p. I wasn't much bothered what it looked like as long as it holds the money:rotfl:

Awwww, we don't have one of those - guess I'm stuck with my £1 rainbows and unicorns!

Would you believe it, I just paid with a £20 note for a £4.90 rail ticket on the self-service machines and out of £15.10 change, I had one single £2 coin! I mean, what do I want with 13 £1 coins!? I suppose I could use them for exchanges but everyone in my family is collecting too! Gutted!

Oh well, I'll update my total once today's coin is safely housed in my pot. Hope you all have better luck today! :D xxx

You need to give him a big gold star.

Went to a quiz tonight. Someone was going to pay for their admissions with 5 x £2 coins. I smiled and said PLEASE and as quick as a flash a £10 note exchanged for the five little beauties. I also picked up two additional coins but sadly I could have obtained another one but had to let it go as I had run out of money.
So 7 plain coins safely potted tonight.

Yes, a big gold star given as want him to keep collecting them for me!

It does grate a bit when coins slip through your fingers doesn’t it. I lost a Magna Carta one to someone else at work once as i only had about £1.85 and they had £2 so pocketed the coin. I now try to make sure that I always have 2 x £1 coins in my purse ready for a swap but as I pay cash for most things (other than DDs) to keep to my budget, that’s not always possible.
