Well bless the lovely dentist receptionist - I called at 9am and she offered me an appointment for 9.45! Sadly couldn't get out of work but she's got me in for Thursday afternoon on the condition that if the pain gets worse I phone straight away :D Good ol' NHS!

Not had a bad day at work, was totting up everybody's annual leave allowance to make sure that they have enough to take time off at Xmas and realised that I've got 1.5 days extra to take before 21st December :D the 0.5 is going to be Thursday pm when I go to the dentist, but then I've booked next Friday off so I can have a long weekend! I really need a day off to chill out a bit as the last few months have been very stressful, and my dad has Fridays off work so I'll ask him whether he fancies a nice afternoon in the Peaks :)

Just off to make some Spag Bol for tea and lunch tomorrow (with jacket)... then will settle down for some quality(?!) tv and my Richard Hammond autobiography

Hope today has been a good one for all xxx

    Evening everyone

Missed more excitement at w*rk yesterday with lots of footie people in supporting the watford player from sierra leone. Lots of colleagues saw themselves on the evening news but as it was my day off I shall remain a mystery to you all still :)

Had planned a quiet night until dd's friend's mum called and aked me to pick her up and have her till 9pm. Then exoh called to see if he could come over as well. Have bought some meaty sausages to go with the veggie sausage and mash that was planned. If exoh comes in time I will go out to watch the mighty brentford [STRIKE]get knocked out of the cup by[/STRIKE] v Luton - we lost 7-0 at the weekend so not holding my breath. dd won't go as it's too late and I'm sure the friend's mum wants her back before 11pm.

HH I will be oh's Auntie if you like ....... so long as he's cheap
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
  • Evening all (with a bend of the knees and a tug at the forelock!)

Crazychik roof seems to be ok so far but I won't really find out until we get a torrential downpour - not that I want one of those.

Pipkin I'm glad I started the cost cutting - it has really opened my eyes. It will be interesting to see just how much I can save over the next month or so. Like you, I was collecting all my change. I put it in a terramundi so that I couldn't get access to it. When it was filled there was more than £130 in it! Not bad for absolutely no effort. After Christmas I'm going to buy another one to start again.

Did another 6 hours overtime today so that's more money in next month's salary. :j

Dinner was filled pasta with a carbonara sauce, some steamed veg and garlic doughballs (DD adores garlic doughballs). None of it was HM but all of it was yellow-stickered so there is an OS element to it all. :o I have chicken in the fridge for tomorrow so I can redeem myself.

The Ricki Lake show was on in the background today. It was all about slobs who don't do housework. One young lad hadn't washed his bed sheets in THREE YEARS! He only flushed the toilet when he could be bothered and wore clothes without washing them for weeks on end. _pale_ Had to turn off as it was making me feel sick.

DS is watching American football on tv now and DD is doing homework. I'm off to make up the lunches for tomorrow. Have a great evening.
