  • Morning Guys!

    Hope everyone is well.

WM is on and DW will be on soon. Toilet has been cleaned.

DD still not too good and is at home again today. She has a terrible cold and is streaming constantly. Have given her some Lemsip and sent her back to bed.

OH went to Sainsburys last night and bought 2 HUGE TTD beef joints reduced. 1 was priced at £19.57 and the other £17.98 and they were reduced too 2 for £10...saving nearly £30:D ...both have been put in the freezer. We dont have beef much, but will be lovely when we have friends for a Sunday Roast and it will do for sarnies with horseradish;)

I am going to try and get half my essay done today. Have asked for a further extension so will try and get it in by next week. have a further 3 hospital appointments this week so will be a bit of a juggle.

OH is tidying up some jobs that have needed to be done for ages....it keeps him busy anyway.

    Anyway, hugs to all.

    Morning all

Didn't manage to post in here yesterday so haven't read all of the thread. Will go and do that shortly, as I'm nosey, and wouldn't want to have missed anything:D

I know it was Twink's birthday, so hope you had a nice day and celebrated in style Twink. _party_ I managed to pick up a few throws from Primark, and yes they were £2. Very nice indeed. DD1 had a red one, and DD2 and myself went for stripey blue.
    :T :j I caught the other mouse :j :T

I'm hoping we just had the two and there are no more, but that's probably not the case, so I have reset the traps and topped up the poison.

Today is a bit of a clean up day really. There's a load in the WM. The ironing's done but needs putting away and the place needs a good polish.

DDs have a drumming session then brownies/guides later so dinner will be on the go - have to get from drumming straight to the other by 6 so not sure what we will have tonight.

Sorry to hear about OH next job Hester. Hopefully it wont be too long before another one turns up.
I have been shocked by how much money I still have in my account since I started buying *only what I need* at the shops. I thought I was quite canny with my money but this has pulled me up short. So, I think I will continue with this even after the roofer has been paid.

That sounds a good idea anniebooklover. I've been putting any change under a £1 into a tub over the last few weeks, and already we have enough for our chinese takeaway christmas treat. I do tend to buy things we don't really need so I may look at doing this starting the new year.

Going to sort out the BM now, as we seem to be getting through lots of bread recently too. Mom made some catherine wheel mince pies for me last week [recipe found in the morrison's mag] and they were so yummy, I'm going to make some. Dad want me to sort out how to make liqueurs so I will be trawling the boards too. If anyone has any trusted recipes though, they will be greatfully received.

:grouphug:Hugs to those who need or want one today :grouphug:

Glad to hear your DS is okay Taplady. What a scary experience. The car may be a right off but at least, thankfully, you still have your son.

Good news on the witness, hopefully the police will catch up with the other driver.

    Morning all,

Just off to tussle with the council before going back to bed ready for my nightshift. Am really not looking forward to it.
OH has a job interview today - hope he gets it. He is also going to the Jobcentre to see a lady there, and needs to make an appointment with the doctor to renew his sick note (which will be posted).

I am so disorganised - haven't even stated on Xmas. Will have to in the next couple of days.

    Have a good one

    Morning - finally!

Been so busy here. I'm on my own as my colleague's lost her Nan. Did a double shift yesterday - get Christmas Eve off for doing that! :D Don't know when I'll get out of here today.

Hoping I'll get my car back today - it's been two months now that my BIL's had it. Starting to get a bit annoyed now.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi - super busy so must press on.

    :hello:
    Morning........well afternoon peeps!
I was goijng to have a lazy day today but after attempting to go back to sleep i decided to sort out my copious amounts of washing :o
And i've decided to go back to work on monday, i think as long as i'm carful i should be ok, i just cant afford to stay off anymore.
I was also given a booklet by the doctors which said that people who stay off work for more than a month after back injury are more likely to end up off work permanently or disabled  And that the best thing to do is carry on.
    Anyway, enough moaning from me!
I'm not being particualrly OS tonight, we are having chicken and chips from the freezer :D
I'm also going to sit down and do a proper budget as i'm all over the place with payments etc, it's a right mess! some things are weekly and some oare monthly so i get confuzed, i've just rang up and changed my tax credits to 4 weekly and will pay all my bills 4 weekly with that, except car insurance which has to be monthly.
OMG i just realised i got to crack on my with my NVQ coursework!

    Morning all (11.58!)

Not really cold here, but damp as it can only be in Ireland, so feels cold IYKWIM.

Have just realised that it is only four weeks to Christmas, so today main chore is to finish writing the Christmas Letter and to write Christmas cards...have decided that this year am just sending letter to those with email to save me the hassle of last dates for postage etc.

Shepherds pie for OH, DD4 And DGS 2 and leftovers from yesterday's dinner for me...have to wash out cupboards in utility room in preparation of the reorganisation, at least there are some things going into attic and to recycling so there will be a little more room for things I need around.

No other plans, washing done and out...not sure when it will dry but don't care, its not around the house in my way.

    Have a good day all
