Just some quickies from watching news videos.

I see that Fiat is to launch a 42kWh 500, which would probably make for a great city car. And GM just had their big EV day, and said next to nothing, just promises or vague claims, like a graph of battery costs reaching $100/kWh but with no time/date/years on the X axis ..... very helpful!

Also they plan to sell 1,000,000 BEV's pa by ...... wait for it ...... actually don't wait you might die before it arrives ...... 2035. My prediction is that they will be selling far, far more than 1m pa by 2035, or else they will have gone bust.

Obviously Tesla in the news with the TMY deliveries, which they seem to have scheduled for 1 day after the 1yr anniversary of the launch party. Perhaps(?) they are planning something for the day itself.

And Norway soldiers on with yet another shocking month. BEV's accounted for just shy of 50% of sales in Feb, with PEV's accounting for 68%, and on top of that another 11% for HEV's. Also, TM3's haven't arrived yet (in 2020) so that's even better news, I think, showing that the market is strong without/before Tesla top ups arrive.

Think we can expect pretty good range from that given that a 40kwh Zoe can reach 180+ miles in the summer.

I was getting around 4 miles per kwh in mine last summer but someone on the Zoe Facebook group was reporting 5 miles per kwh, probably in ECO mode.
It's amazing the difference just not having the heater on makes.

I read in a car magazine that the expected OTR price for the Fiat 500 EV, after taking off the grant would be about £30k. Still quite pricey compared to others with 64kWh batteries.

Ouch did not see that coming! That price is for a 'hi-spec convertible', but as you say, given the batt size, and the typically high spec of most BEV's, does seem too high. Oh well, I'm sure a cheap city car will arrive eventually, perhaps the Renault Twingo with a small 22kWh battery, but I can't find a Euro price/estimate and not for UK sale.

I was watching a Bjorn Nyland YouTube review of the Zoe 50 and he couldn’t get the heater to work while he was charging the car. Do you have this problem on the 40? I am not talking about preheat but rather sitting in the car in winter while charging up on a journey.

Not yet sure about the e+ but I often noticed on my 40 that heater was reluctant to come on from cold when stationary.  Seemed OK when stopped to recharge after a long drive when heater had been in use during drive.

Can't say I have Ken, although I haven't used a public charger since we switched to Octopus Go in December. Although I have heard other EV drivers say they don't get full power when charging in really cold weather.
I wonder if the heating diverts to the battery to get it up to temperature when charging in cold weather ??
